I've long envisioned a wall decorated with a painting/picture of a bar scene where all of NDs opponent mascots are thrown around the bar, Sparty flung over the bar, boilermaker smashed through a table, Eagle de feathered and thrown in a heap on the floor,... And Tommy Trojan beat up and about to be run through with his own sword by our Leprechaun, with the Bruin in the background among other random CFB mascots watching the bar fight, with his hands up gleefully awaiting Tommy Trojans demise...

Maybe someone would take the inspiration....?

Also have this idea working right now. I don't do a lot of "fan art" stuff, but This was a piece where a doodle evolved in to a full concept. Calling this one "Domer Fett". I plan on having the Golden Dome in the background with some cool clouds and stuff like that.

Have you considered reversing the colors on the helmet? Reversing the blue and gold, giving the Domer Fett a mostly gold helmet (although I liked the gold shoulder pads with monogram; keep that for sure.)

EDIT: Exceptional work. Very impressive. Reps!

Wow Go Irish, that shit is phenomenal. I'd take the 2nd one on a shit.

EDIT: I think we found the start to that IE shirt we've mentioned several times.

I'm looking for someone to design a cover for the novel I just finished writing. I'd like to get the thing done and out the door in the next 2-3 months. Most indie authors go to Fiverr or another gig service, but with the talent on evidence in this thread, I'd rather have the work done by a member of the IE faithful. Here's a couple of book covers that are in the arena of what I'm looking for. If any of you guys that do artwork are interested, drop me a PM.

Sorry, don't know why the pics aren't showing. I'll just paste the links direct.

Yes, I considered that color scheme, but in the initial color studies I did, the mostly gold helmet did not look great, so I decided on a more "Shamrock Series" color choice for the helmet and armor.

Thanks for the reps!

I mentioned earlier in the thread that my Dad is a well-regarded artist. Here are a few of his recent ones:

One of the reasons I took my self imposed hiatus from I.E. (and from most online shenanigans for that matter) was because retirement has afforded me a lot of time to work on my art. Here is a recent piece I am really proud of - Jonathan Quick portrait:

GO IRISH -- I really like the dog portrait. The details on the fur are fantastic.

For the NYC folks -- my dad is currently exhibiting a painting at the National Arts Club:

Thanks! Love your Dad's piece. What medium is that?

He has exclusively worked with pastels for the past 15 years or so.

When I was younger he did mostly acrylics, along with some color pencil and oil.
