Another reason to hate ESPN

Wow... Crying and alleging conspiracy or ESPN being classless based on some intern's mistake is a bit much to stomach. ESPN doesn't bash ND, instead quite the opposite. They give us MUCH more coverage than they give a team that has performed similarly or even better for the last fifteen years. Its kind of like how all the TV announcers are "out to get us". Case in point here is Schlabach being questionably high on our rating for yet another year.


But here, have a tissue.

They made another mistake when we upset Utah and just left that top 25 game off and copied pasted a TCU game or something instead. Is it a big deal? Heck no. But there is also a pattern. You've got haters in this world and you've got lovers... and we happen to have a lot of both. Just gotta deal with it.

Going to have to agree with Lax, there are patterns forming at ESPN. And yes Shlabach is high on ND more times than not. In regards to your tissue...how about you stay classy if possible

ESPN "lack of coverage/bashing" are valid points. Nevada under ND's logo is an obvious error. A mistake.

By your logic IrishEnvy must be bashing Golson as his home town on the front page is listed as Oil City. Oil City is Koyack's home town in PA not SC. The IE person that filled in Golson's info simply used Koyack's entry as a template and neglected to enter Golson's town. It's an error, not an attempt to slight. Somebody pointed out the Oil City error in one of the IE threads but it wasn't corrected. I'll give the IE guy the benefit of the doubt that he hadn't read that post noting the error rather than he was continuing a "slight" by ignoring it.

Six months or so ago Hegarty was listed as being from AZ rather than NM. It incited one poster to claim it was a slight and attack "the guy" that posted it. Again it was an error and "the guy" that posted it was a full time ND student with a full plate. He corrected it when it was brought to his attention via PM.

Lots of reasons to hate ESPN (I perosnally don't hate ESPN but there are things I wish were done differently)...but this is not one of them. It was an error, which, as BGIF pointed out, happens everywhere.
