Andrew Hendrix Commits

I've heard from two or three different sources that Hendrix has committed. If true, this is great news.

Hendrix did committ. I have seen this kid play since his 7th grade year. He will be very good in the future... all the tools and very smart!

Tell us more. All we have to go on is recruiting service dribble.

Moeller senior quarterback Andrew Hendrix has orally committed to play at Notre Dame, according to Moeller coach John Rodenberg.
Hendrix, who is 6-3 and 220 pounds, committed sometime on Wednesday, Rodenberg said in a text message this morning.
“(Hendrix) loves the school,” Rodenberg said in a text message.
Hendrix, one of the nation’s top-rated pro style quarterbacks by Rivals.com, had more than a dozen scholarship offers this spring.

He told the Enquirer last week he was considering Ohio State, Notre Dame and a few others.

I also posted this in Hendrix's recruiting page:

Guys, you are going to absolutely love this kid. He talked about his visit to Steve Wiltfong, and how he loved Weis, and the tradition, etc, all the things recruits say. Then he talked about how Randolph and Crist were his guides, and how great they both were, esp Crist, whom he called someone who could be a great mentor for him (Crist - what a stud. Could see Hendrix as a future threat, but welcomes him with open arms).

But the best part he said was about how he's going to start recruiting other athletes - IMMEDIATELY. Said it's his number one job, and he's willing to call other recruits, starting with an OLineman we desperately need, Matt James, also from Ohio. His attitude reminds me of Dayne Crist, and this kid will be an asset to ND...

I think this young man is the sleeper of the '10 class. He has all the tools of a great qtrbk....smarts, physique, athletic ability and the demeanor to represent ND everwhere. I look forward to watching him win another nat. champ. in "12.
