I sure am glad we threw his red shirt away !

I know this will not make win me any rep points...

But Walker is SO slow. The O-Line is not helping him...but we need a guy out there who can make something happen at RB.

For the record, I am not upset at his fumble...he has the surest hands of any RB out there. But MAN I am tired of watching him wait until the line collapses before he runs.

ARGH.

He just made a nice catch (3rd quarter, 8:10 to go)...

But man we need a chance of SOME kind. The reason we are not getting anywhere is the UCLA does not fear our run.

I have no problem with Walker, I just cant understand why we brought JA in last game, just to let him sit and watch. We've used Prince in the past hoping to create a spark, why no give James a shot ? We need some emotion, bringing Aldridge in pumps the crowd and may swing momentum. Give him a chance to prove something damnit !

The O-Line has issues, but let's face it...there is NO speed in the backfield. There is no way to run around the end. It's all AT the middle...not even UP the middle.

you know don't care who doesn't like it but darious is as slow as molassas and I am sick of certain individuals talking how great he is...bull......you know what...I will take speed over a catch out of the back field any day!!!! our line sucks thats for sure, but dammit we need some fricken speed back there...we are like in slow motion...key on our receivers and that shuts us down cause our running game wouldn't scare chicken little..

Darius is a good back, but we really need someone who will stay on his feet after contact. Does anyone have highlights of Darius even running anyone over? Of Darius hitting the outside for 40+ yards? I think we need this type of speed in the backfield. Darius is dancing around too much. Just get the ball, and run STRAIGHT, quit stopping and trying that little juke you do. HIT SOMEONE AND DRIVE YOUR LEGS. Our line might not be helping but Darius needs to get more physical.

Darius is a good back, but we really need someone who will stay on his feet after contact. Does anyone have highlights of Darius even running anyone over? Of Darius hitting the outside for 40+ yards? I think we need this type of speed in the backfield. Darius is dancing around too much. Just get the ball, and run STRAIGHT, quit stopping and trying that little juke you do. HIT SOMEONE AND DRIVE YOUR LEGS. Our line might not be helping but Darius needs to get more physical.

There is no highlight of Darius hitting the outside for 40+. I think he has one or two runs in his entire CAREER for 40+. Might be 3...but I doubt its that many.

OL in tough position

I think the OL plays against the stacked DL because everyone knows (as do the defenses) that DW is slow. Because of this situation, Brady is also in trouble because the Ol can't protect everyone at once. If we had some speed in there, then the OL would look better because the back would fly through the hole or around the end, and obviously open up the pasing game ( which seems to be stalling lately). The OL is in a tough position.

I do believe CW will now play Aldridge and Prince, and hopefully Scmidt, in the next 4 games to get them much needed experience. If he doesn't, then how are they going to learn on the job for next year and beyond. It only makes sense.

I like Darius and I think he is our best back. However, I will agree with the fact that it would be nice to have a change of pace. Bring in a back that will just hit the hole and get 5 yds on 1st down. Or bring in Prince and try some sweeps or something. We need to open it up. Our offense is too much of dink and dunk and that's why we are not scoring as many points. Good defenses focus on our receivers and are totally unconcerned with our running game.

Newsflash, you're correct that it isn't termed "redshirt" but that is essentially what the 5th year of eligibility program is. You can call it whatever you want to.
