Would not make a lick of sense.

Especially considering now that Golden’s son is at ND.

I always kind of liked the guy. Mostly because he won at Temple. Totally dug the shirt and tie at Miami, even if it was Miami.

We're lucky to have him, that's for sure. He wasn't on anyone's wish list when he was hired, let alone at the top.

As my kids would say, dude's a real one.

Penn State had a great gameplan and were cooking in the first half. Not his best effort last night but he made enough adjustments to get the job done after halftime.
I don't know that the gameplan for ND was bad...but in the chess match of coordinators, Kotelnicki clearly had a spectacular plan and he called a spectacular game. And Al still bested him in the end.

Keep in mind, he blanked them in the third quarter and the defense gave up ten points off of the two picks Leonard threw.

The punt they forced after Greathouse's TD was obviously massive.

And of course, the injuries.

Don't underestimate the longer halftime at this game due to the music performance. This absolutely helped both Golden and Denbrock to make adjustments, and it showed coming out of the locker room. This was an underrated aspect to the win.

It gave the team some extra rest as well. The defense especially needed it.

Hat tip to their OC. They called an excellent game in the first half, used our aggression against us better than anyone has all season with screen passes and misdirection, and generally had us on our heels for long periods of time. Didn't they have two drives of 10+ plays? And they should've had 14 points but Allar missed the throw to that wide open RB on 3rd and goal and so they kicked.
We adjusted at halftime and things seemed to go a lot better from there.

Allar didn’t exactly miss that throw. It wasn’t perfect but Singleton is the one who blew that TD 100%

Allar threw it at his knee. Just a basic play where both guys had a part in f-ing it up. We dodged one there.

I can't find a clip rn. Felt like it was low and a little behind him, but yes probably also catchable. Either way. It was a gift to us.

I think former head coaches always bring something extra. Just ask Saban.
