The other poster who you are having your little spat with got a warning from another mod, and he's apologized. Since it was over and done with, I deleted your post. If you still have a problem, simply post on another site. Otherwise, you sound like a baby. If you want to call me out, just PM me and we can hash out whatever contrived disagreement between the two of us that you somehow have stuck in your head.
Your post didn't 'disappear' for no reason, it was an attack on another poster who had already been warned, so I deleted it (didn't give you one of those infractions or warnings like the other poster got). If you're going to continue to attack other posters, you will get the banning you so desperately want. If you're going to be cool and have normal discussions, then it's all good.
Again, PM and tell me what your problem is, or leave it as is...
Oh, the irony! You ask me to PM (I assume that stands for "
Private Message" in board-speak) in a very
public dressing down. "
Little spat?" "
... sound like a baby?" "...
contrived disagreement?" "...
stuck in your head?" Are these the words of a moderate moderator? "Normal" discussions often have a little give and take, a touch of rhetorical push and shove and a bit of tit-for-tat (in a green and yellow basket) to them. I'm an "Old Timer," you see. I'm not at all fond of "douche" or "douche bag" as a reference to ... whatever. I'm not thrilled with "sucks," either, but it is what it is. Free and open discourse. Censorship is a steep, slippery and slimy slope. As is censure. (Can I get a "Huzzah!" for alliterative acumen and agility?)
I saw "Fuck you" as responding in kind – with a touch of humor. Haughty, perhaps in a very crude way, but a
single sardonic riposte in this mess.
I do apologize to to you, NDinL.A. ... I picked your name out of a virtual hat as one of a number of "mods" who might have deleted my missive. Not cool. Though I did notice that many, if not all, "Old = Douche" posts remained intact. Tsk, tsk. "PM" me if you feel a need to. Ban me if you feel you must. Just don't vilify me in public while demanding a private resolution.
What really pisses me off about this whole thing is that it has become a "thing."
I'm an ND grad, 1974. An "Old Timer" (who sees no reasonable need for "LOL" or other such internet inanities) of Irish heritage and an unabashed liberal. Let the people (and reindeer) speak: good, bad or incendiary. Think George Harrison: All Things Must Pass.
May you live long in peace and prosperity. With the wind always at your back.
