10-2 gets us in the bcs conversation and theres no way the bcs passes up a chance to put ND in another high profile matchup.

11-1, everyones gonna kill me for this but 11-1 and not only are we in bcs contention we could be in nc conversation.

that would most likely mean we beat a top ten usc team, which would shoot us up the rankings, especially if usc wins the pac 10

nc

nc

My husband thinks I'm crazy but I still think we are going to play for the NC against Texas. That was my prediction in the beginning and even after the UM loss it's my prediction.

He says, "What about Florida?" I don't know but I just have a feeling they won't make it to the nc.

May I be allowed to have an internet crush towards you? May I have your husband's permission?

Normally, 10-2 would probably get a BCS bid. Unfortuneatley, the last two BCS bowls did not bode well for ND. We lost and lost bad. I could see a 10-2 ND team not invited. I do not claim this is fair and I hope it is not the case, only that I could see ND being snubbed. Just as I could see OSU being snubbed at 11-1 for the title game even if other teams had the same record or even 10-2. I will not join Dick Vitale and saying they must run the table to get a BCS but it would help. Much will also have to do with how Michigan does, everyone pull for Michigan now, as their record will help/hurt our strength of schedule.

Yeah, if you beat SC and come out 11-1, but most on this board are saying 10 - 2. To that I say no, if it means coming over a 11-1 WAC team. The upper tier WAC is no joke I would take Boise St. over SC 8 out of 10 times THIS year, not last.

Could you imagine the crucifixion of Our Lady, let alone even hoping to be considered a BCS team, if we played Louisiana Lafayette, Eastern Michigan, Temple, Toledo, Rice, North Texas.... sigh... I'm happy when our "weak" schedule that includes 4 Pac 10 schools that have played in a Rose bowl in the last decade, a few Big 10s that have as well, 2 Big East bowl teams and a few other bowl teams - When you look at this weeks line and see who other pretenders are playing - I'm proud of who I walk into that stadium and see us play week after week. This week 6 teams we play are favored, 2 not favored play mutual opponents, of course we would hope this week's opponent wouldn't be favored over us - do you see Clemson 7 over BC? Baylor over Connecticut, okay, I'll give 'em Anybody (Sou Meth) over washington St.
