No they didn't. the refs were better in the second. We missed 3 free trows and then grants decision making was terrible is what cost us the game. for the first time this season he got selfish.

I forgot that Both Grant and Connaughton missed free throws late. Had to play better to win tonight. It really is amazing we didn't play our best game and still almost won. Just think if we would have shot the three better.

The refs in this game were much better than about any game in the tournament. The call on Jackson could've went either way. He was leaning. But credit to Kentucky for putting the refs in the position that they had to make a call.

so proud of these guys....took it to the evil empire and didn't back down. A made shot here or there and its ours. Kentucky players are pretty damn good, and calipari is a bucket of rancid slime.....nothing we didn't know going in.

Played with heart and passion and exceeded everyone's expectations but their own. This was one team that will be remembered for their team play more so than any individuals.

They absolutely did. 10 free throw points in the first half and August had two fouls that were bs, one of which should have been an offensive foul on Townsend that would have giving him 5. Then in the last minute or so in the game, Vasturia was fouled just so Townsend, the only guy that was really hurting ND, couldco e back in the game.

Jay Bilas, who I highly respect, just said "The game Notre Dame played tonight would have beaten any other team in the country."

Hell of a game and hell of a basketball team this year Notre Dame.

Just stop. Team took Kentucky to the wire, despite not hitting threes, and had a brilliant offensive game plan. Pretty much the only tactical error was not running the offense on second to last possession and going earlier.

Stop what? Team played great. Brey failed again at the end of the game and a bit before.

Pretty clear Bonzie should have been in more at the end and a mis-used t/o. Not to mention a poor last play call among other miscues by the coaching staff. These kids played their hearts out.

In my honest opinion, i'm not really sure there's a better analyst out there across all sports. And this is coming from someone that loathes all things Duke.

This Kentucky team is possible the greatest collection of talent on 1 colege team ever. And we lost, in the final seconds, by 2. I don't see why anyone is upset.

I think that was a clear blocking foul on Jackson honestly.

Auguste played the game of his life. Sitting him at any point down the stretch would've been the biggest mistake of the Brey's career.

I'm pretty pissed because ND should have won and didn't... I love ND and am so over moral victories or feel good loses, I want to see this school win something that's worth remembering beyond the fan base, this was one of those and they should have had it...

With that said it was a fun ride and I'll remember this group for a while... Fvk being a good sport tho, I hope UK loses by sixty in their next game....

Really? Bonzie could have at least made townes shoot free throws instead of letting him walz to the basket. Bonzie should have been in more at the end....if you disagree thats fine

Not gonna lie, I texted a buddy before the game and said I'd be happy to keep it within 10. I didnt see Auguste having the game of his life against the massive front line of Kentucky.

I agree. He slid into it. A noncall would have been wrong. The last three possessions lost this game for us.

I do agree with the call.

Also agreed. I think Len or C-Webb or maybe the Twitter but someone not me had said that he had a chance to take the charge and missed his chance.

The only blemish for me was Brey taking the TO when he did..and not going for a 2 for 1..so two blemishes.

Agreed, he was scoring 2, might as well make him shoot 2 to get 2.

It was pointed out to me earlier that Towns is 80% from the line. However I called a few times for Jackson to sit and run Colson on the front line with Auguste.

I'm not blaming the officiating, but shit the bed if UK didn't get an early whistle any time they were near the paint. Maybe it's just me. Guys need to keep their heads up, and eventually the disappointment will fade and they will appreciate what they accomplished. That said, I was not impressed with UK tonight, and am amazed they have won 38 straight games. Maybe they are bored with winning, but didn't see much fire in them. Enough to win I guess. I will be rooting for anyone else to end the streak.

By far the best basketball analyst. Possibly best sports analyst.
