I think he was an early eval and offer for us so this strategy would surprise me. I predict the rankings catch up sooner than later, though the offer list is also not what you would expect for him.irishinontario shows him unranked in the class of 28 thread so i wonder if our irish are just looking at him just in case some of the bigger highly ranked guys don't come
i could see the OL budget being smaller next year considering the last 2 classes and who we may need to pay to come back and bypass the draftirishinontario shows him unranked in the class of 28 thread so i wonder if our irish are just looking at him just in case some of the bigger highly ranked guys don't come
His frame and film give me confidence in the offerHis junior season hasn't even been played yet. Brennan Vernon was the #9 rated player in the country at this point. Frame checks out + the B10 regional offers to go with ND's. He can be simply unranked from not showing up to a camp. Wouldn't read anything into that.
Did Tom meet Mr.Chan and Bruce Heggie? Those are good testing numbers for his size and OL. Has Tom Lemming ever not liked a recruit? Someone should send him a bottom feeder and just see what he does.

For me, it's my complete ignorance compared to the people who actually evaluated him and gave him the offer that have me feeling good. His frame and film give me confidence in the offer
Yeah it’s pretty fair to assume that a rising junior who gets offered after an in person evaluation at Irish Invasion isn’t a panic/safety offerFor me, it's my complete ignorance compared to the people who actually evaluated him and gave him the offer that have me feeling good.
Yeah this kid is probably a basketball player if hes raised in Europe. Even at home the Irish schools/youth hoops scene has a bunch of 2nd generation Lithuanian kids in itDick Butkus and Johnny Unitas are Lithuanian-Americans as well! As were World’s Strongest man Zydrunas Savickas and Olympic Gold Medalist Virgilijus Alekna

I can appreciate what the people at 247 and On3 do, but I'm going to roll with a coaching staff's judgment offering a guy that one of those sites haven't ranked. Shit, I'll go with the judgment of a BAD coaching staff, and Notre Dame doesn't have a bad coaching staff by any stretch.Yeah it’s pretty fair to assume that a rising junior who gets offered after an in person evaluation at Irish Invasion isn’t a panic/safety offer
I think the key is how he grows into his body. If he can play with good leverage at 6’8 plus he should be good, but obviously not every guy who grows that big does.I can appreciate what the people at 247 and On3 do, but I'm going to roll with a coaching staff's judgment offering a guy that one of those sites haven't ranked. 84 inch wing span and he is in the summer between his sophomore and junior years of high school. I'm actually afraid he gets too damn tall for football. He's probably still growing and already 6-7. Jonathan Ogden and Bryant McKinnie were unicorns.
If my neighbor is sold on this kid, I am sold.He was at the Lemming event this spring. Eric Hansen was also there and singled him out in the pod he did at the time, noting the size, frame and athleticism checked out.
Eric mentioned he was going to be tracking him as a riser in the rankings. I know Eric is a writer and not an evaluator, but he's seen enough in person over 40 years to know what a potential dude looks like.
