My unprofessional player evaluation:

I came away very impressed with Vaughn's sophomore tape, and it is hard to imagine he still has two years of high school ball left. His get off at the LOS is elite, and probably some of the best I've seen at the high school level. The violence he plays with is evident. He doesn't appear to be just a pass rusher, as he holds up against the run well. Vaughn is already 6'4", 225; physically, I would expect him to be game ready when he gets to college. Rivals ranks him at #201 overall, and 247 ranks him at #19 overall. I have a hard time believing there are 200 players better than Vaughn. I think a top 50 ranking is fair.

If he were to choose Notre Dame, I think he would be in the rotation immediately.

This would be a really nice addition to the class. If ND takes 3 DEs and Vaughn is one of them, color me happy!

Reminder Vaughn absolutely dominated last years Irish invasion despite being a year younger than the 2027 guys. He should still be a top 100 talent.

He is shout out of a cannon when the ball is snapped.

Back to back cycles of Dunham, Ewetade, Vaughn, and Sessay would be straight gas.
They can rate him whatever they want, but he's gonna be ruining offensive gameplans and beating the hell outta qb's for 3-4 years before hearing his name called in round 1 of the NFL draft.

They don't make edges with that kind of instincts, bend and explosiveness very often. ND all of a sudden seems to have an assembly line of them.

Combine that with Partridge coaching him, it's gonna be a blast to watch.

This is the kind of DL recruiting we’ve been starving for. This will make getting a 4 man pass rush much easier. Marry that with the secondary? Good Lord.
