Four-star edge Dre Quinn gives the highlights from his two-day Notre Dame visit
Wiltfong: Keep an eye on the Irish moving forward.
Driskell on Quinn:
Great visit. Quinn fit in very well. His values mesh very well with the program, on and off the field. Sounds like Clemson and Notre Dame have emerged as the top teams at this point. Quinn's words: "Their definitely a top 3 team."
ND is the only northern team that Quinn is considering, largely due to Al Washington. They've built a great relationship since he was offered a few months ago.
“Notre Dame has been a top school for me, even before the visit, but now it has solidified its spot in my top three,” Quinn told On3. “The visit was amazing. It was very personal, the most personal visit for me. It’s more than football… They emphasized life after football, which most teams don’t do. The players are close like a family, no one is over another and the coaching staff is top tier. I knew Notre Dame was going to be great, but they exceeded my expectations.”
“The fact that they took interest in my clothing brand “Dote” and talked business was big,” Quinn said,. “My meeting with coach Freeman and coach Washington was a pivotal moment on my visit too. The fact that I had the chance to walk through the iconic stadium with me and my family, which reminded me of the movie Rudy, also stands out. Getting to view the iconic landmarks in person really made an impression on me as well.”
June 20.
ND gets the final OV.
yesWould they take Quinn, Blade, Golden, and Vallejo? That would be 7 dline.
I would and hope they do, you got to get talent when you can because the next class you might not have the in's in the next class that they have in '26 with a school like ND. You just never know because the Top DT's next year like in many years are looking into the football factory schools rather than what ND is offering.Would they take Quinn, Blade, Golden, and Vallejo? That would be 7 dline.
Looks like aTm took 8 in that ridiculous 2022 class. And 7 were in the top 100 composite overall.Would they take Quinn, Blade, Golden, and Vallejo? That would be 7 dline.
Don’t forget about July 4. Several players are set to announce then.June will be as exciting as July will be boring 😂
Isd heard they may only rake 5 DL…i would rather them take 7. Too many talented guysIf ND takes a huge DL class it will end up being a quite balanced. IMO the Vyper class is done with Dunham & Ewetade. Dre Quinn is without SDE. I don't see McHale Blade as a pure SDE like Quinn but someone who is a SDE/DT hybrid type though I at this time like him better as a SDE but then again we haven't seen much from him in a year to really know. Elijah Golden and Khary Wilder are also these SDE/DT types who IMO are more DT-3T than SDE. I see both of them as high upside guys who are not true BOOM or BUST types but one with only decent floors. Alister Vallejo is the pure DT prospect. Tiki Hola can play as a DT but his best position is going to be NG.
I had to double check to see if he was a white receiver. Not sure how hard the staff wants Quinn and I know there's a 6/20 visit planned, but this Clemson guy (Austin Hannon) just put in a CB for Clemson to get him. Clemson football receives crystal ball to land 4-star EDGE over Notre Dame, Georgia
