Based on the write up on Irish Illustrated Schmidt is ranked quite a bit higher as a punter than as a kicker.
Should be interesting how they list him on Wednesday. We need both a kicker and a punter but Rendell getting another year might change that

No. Early enrollees can practice with the team but they can't play in games - and I'm not even sure he's an early enrollee.

I might be mistaken but you could be the greatest kicker in history and not be over 3 stars, correct? Most underrated position by far. Jason Hansen remains the all time point leader in Lions history. Not Barry Sanders.

He was #1 as a P and #3 as a Kicker at the National Scholastic Camp. #1 Specialist

Yep, #1 at the National Camp! He was All State at both Kicking and Punting as a Jr and Sr....As a P averaged 46.4 and landed half inside the 20, as a K made 9/12 kicks and misses were from 62 amd a couple 50+ but made a 55 yarder.
