Shaun Alexander's nephew... yes, THAT Shaun Alexander (of Boone County fame... did a few things in the NFL, too).

This kid is blowing up recently.

He's not playing against many elite LT's in Northern Kentucky, but elite competition or not, you can't teach this kid's burst off the line, nor his bend around the corner. He's a pretty good athlete on the hardwood, as well. Plays TE on offense.

He's going to be a good one. Hopefully ND can stay involved here.

He's just 10 mins up the road from me... I'd throw the bag at him if it weren't legal already.

So if Austin Alexander is Shaun Alexander's nephew....then it's possible that Austin's father is a Domer.

Shaun Alexander's older brother Darrin(sp?) was a drummer for the Notre Dame Marching Band.....Shaun 'almost' followed his brother to ND (see link) but in the end picked Alabama over the Irish

I think we have a great shot at this 3 star DE.

He'll end up a 4-star based on film against mostly sub-par competition. Camping won't hurt to see how high his ceiling can get, either.

thats northern KY for ya

If Highlands would get their shit together and actually start competing with CovCath, NKY would be okay.

As it stands, too many of the HUGE public schools in the area don’t get enough players developed out of their huge student populations.

Ryle does good. Cooper is getting there for a relatively young program. Simon Kenton is off-and-on.

But they’re too spread-out to ever really compete with the Louisville (and sometimes Lexington) schools when it comes to state finals.

ND's willing to go after UTR prospects in a lot of cases but they are passing on a few potential Vypers that would've gone Irish if they were all in on them.

Gordy Sulfsted
Gabe Kaminski
Austin Alexander
Brock Schott ......... Will probably start at TE in Miami
Gus Ritchey ........... Will probably start at TE at NC State
Adrian Holley

Will be interesting to follow their development vs ND's takes.

Agreed. Following those careers and comparing projection to reality is one of my favorite aspects of crootin.

Do any of those you mentioned meet the size/length profile of the targets on the board? Kaminski and Schott in particular seemed to at least had jr year production that would've tempted Freeman/ Bowden to go outside profile.

Sulfstead is probably a future DT or a 3-4 DE. Holly's probably a big end down the line. Gus Ritchey's 6-3 guy who seems to like TE more than D with a frame that says DT by '26.

Schott and Alexander have the typical Vyper frames.

I'm told Kaminski's 6-2 and change. They got a close look at him and took Hulak for a reason.
