tbh idk how any offensive croot watched that Clempson game and thought, “Yep. That’s something I want to be a part of.”
Exactly what I said after the Louisville game when we all realized Parker was in Physics class but belonged in Algebra 1 class. If I were the parent of a ND offensive recruit, I would have some tough questions for the ND staff.

Sad but true unfortunately

This isn't exactly breaking news.

It was kind of a dead giveaway that there was very little buzz coming out of his OV for the USC game. It was propped up because he tried to keep it under wraps to surprise the commits visiting. That appeared like very telling conduct for a guy ready to flip.

But it's been dead quiet since the visit.

The season is just a good season but the recruiting has flamed out as well.

Nebraska’s 2024 class just lost Kewan Lacy a four star RB from TX. The more that decommit the better chance Nelson might do likewise you’d think

Seems as though his parents made the decision for him, and he will have to go there and be miserable before bolting in the portal.

Nebraska is terrible. They have a well established culture of losing. It’s going to be a rough road for him

This should be a good thread too.

He lives in an extremely tiny town.

Going off to Lincoln is the equivalent of heading off to NYC for most.
But he is going as the hero with no pressure.

He knows ND is a better choice, but his family is huge NU fans & want him there, & he has multiple close friends going to NU, so he is playing it safe.
Same thing happened with Fidone and he is being wasted there too.

Watching Tristan Sinclair play on Saturday I had a similar feeling. Dude chose Stanford over ND and went out on an absolute shit team. Winning 9 games over 3 seasons and nobody watching. ND won at least that many games in each of the last 3 seasons.

I don’t mean this as a knock on the kid, but I don’t think he’s going to Nebraska because he sincerely expects to play for anything that matters. Maybe he does, but he’d be wrong. Either way, I’m sure his folks and family and friends will be happy he went to Nebraska.

Stanford’s one of those schools where it’s like, I’d almost be fine knowing I’ll never play for anything that matters (or play in front of fans) if it meant I could get a Stanford degree and connections.

I can’t even be mad if a kid goes there. Especially if you’re a three-star kid with a decent offer sheet. Stanford or Vandy want you? Take that 10/10 times over going to Maryland or Va Tech or something.

Fair. But he wasn’t a 3 star with shitty offers.

If the choice was Stanford versus Maryland, i agree 100. This was Stanford versus ND. Get the degree and not play shithole football.

One thing to remember is Sinclair's Dad was a 4 year starter at Stanford.

They also live within an hour of Stanford.

All in all, Kiser out performed Sinclair and JS accepted a position that was under utilized by ND while providing a competent and flexible back up to JD.

Just like Swain and Edward’s getting that CO degree.

We shall see if new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen can unlock him at all the rest of the campaign.
Hard to not to think the kid would at least put feelers out there during the next portal window if things don't at least slightly improve.

He is also behind Fidone at TE, who was their highest rated recruit when he showed up.

Yeah that’s pretty much status quo for all highly ranked freshman. They get to college and either get better or just bail and leave
