With Freeman's kid being a pretty dang good HS wrestler, I wonder if he will have increased success recruiting DL/LB guys who also wrestle in HS. Can have real genuine conversations with the kids about the sport and relate with the families about FB/wrestling life.

That would be awesome. He is still pretty raw, but I think he is one of the highest upside DL for the entire cycle.

The 2024 class of ND DL offers really seems to have a "type." Umeh fits that bill for sure. Long, lean athletes. He's obviously raw. If he's as raw by age 21, there are issues. Really feels like this DL class is going to wind up not being short of quality or quantity when December rolls around.

I want to see some of the reactions when Al Washington signs three DL from CT.

It's a very good fit but maybe not a slam dunk imo. He has been very impressed by all the big state school campuses and I think his academic focus is more CS. The big ten schools after him can probably offer a better CS degree than ND.
