You’ll be fine, man. Everyone is different. Experience is relative and perspective liberates. My grandpa is nearing 100 and the guy is more productive than many 20/30 year olds I know, lol. The key is passion. Love doing something and you will have a reason to be strong. Not perfect. Not the past. Strong. ✌🏽
Of course everyone is different & he will be fine.
But people do start to feel things with age. Doesn’t mean they should stop or give up.
I love combat sports. I retired from them, but still do them daily. Still run half marathons, swim laps, etc…
But simply swimming a mile now and then running a 10k afterwards hurts a lot now. I have to prepare for it (sleep, hydration, carbs, etc…) when I was in the military I would do twice a that a day with no preparation and not feel a thing afterwards.

Doesn’t mean I will ever stop.
Just means I have to prepare for it now & it hurts infinitely more than it used to.

There is a reason most Muay Thai fighters in Thailand retire by 25. LOL
We used to travel to Phuket Island yearly to train when we had guys in UFC Australia shows. And all the MMA guys there were literally 10+ years older than all the Muay Thai kids.
I limit my Muay Thai sparring, and all standup sparring, now. Mostly do submission grappling with just a day or two a week of striking. Just last week I was teaching SWAT guys the clinch, & when done I was hurting everywhere despite beating the crap out of them. That’s sad.
Lol. Man, that's awesome. I always wanted to go to Thailand to train. I almost went one summer with one of my coaches but didn't and joined APD instead.

One time our team was there, I wasn’t there, there was a foreign Muay Thai fighter preparing to make her UFC debut & she was training MMA with some of my guys to prepare.
They sent us video & were like, “check out this beast!”
That girl turned out to be Valentina Shevchenko, the future UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion.

I wonder if CJ Carr being there killed some of the vibes for Novosad?
MY understanding is this week was primarily for '24 recuits but, they had a few '23's attend since the dead periord starts in Aug and this was the last shot to get Novosad on campus before the start of the season.

you are kind of an a hole.
“More? Go on…”. 👍🤣🤣🤣

Sorry I hit a nerve.

Seriously I get it’s great CJ is wanting to meet recruits in his class but getting a 2023 QB is pretty important - like right now.

And by having 5 Star 2024 CJ there it divides the attention. Pretty obvious common sense. It will be interesting to see what QB will commit to 2023 class under these circumstances.

Would you want a 2023 QB who is afraid of a 2024 QB? Do your really think a '23 QB, a highly rated one, will be fearful of the '25 guy?

Should all positions feel this way? Is Hanafin afraid because Cam Williams is committed? I know there are more WRs on the field than QBs, but why are we assuming Novosad is afraid of Carr? If he were, why would he visit?

Who’s attention did it divide?

it is the way you stated it. You sound like a clown, almost blaming a 5 star quarterback for going out of his way to recruit and getting vital players like Wingo to want to come. How you fail to realize what you wrote sounded downright stupid is bizarre.

And just to add on, this is what this school needed. We have not had a quarterback recruiting leader, who embraces the role in a long time.

I guess you don’t understand recruiting a QB. Very different from other positions.

That’s what you don’t understand. CJ is not to be the “Recruiting Leader” when he is in the Junior Class when the focus is filling the QB for the Senior Class. It’s about managing the situation. Sorry if you are upset but that is the reality.

We cant just recruit the current year. This was an opportunity to stack classes at certain positions, via recruiting. I will take getting Wingo, and possibly hurting the feelings of a 23 class qb who may not come anyways. You recruit them all, and if they cant handle, u move on. Look at what only recruiting moore did.

CJ Carr is an absolute stud and is recruiting his ass off for ND. We are going to get Wingo and Scott in 2024 and with at least 3 5 star recruits, push hard for likely the top overall class imo. I’ll take a ‘23 QB, but honestly, at this point, I’m rooting for CJ Carr. If nobody wants to commit bc of CJ, maybe that tells you how damn good he is. He did have the best Elite 11 score of the entire damn season, upper and lower classmen.

How Moore was handled or mishandled had nothing to do with how this weekend was handled. It’s not about “feelings of a 2023 class qb” but it’s about positioning to capture a Top 150 QB.

So would you have told all the '24 guys to stay home and just have the '23 guys on campus? That doesn't seem very practical. You are getting a ton of recuits on campus, you want the guys that are committed to be there, regardless of position.

you are just a dope. no point debating a douche.
Sorry you are getting emotional. RELAX. If you are so right and I am so wrong - no need to get your panties in a twist and rest confident that ND will land Austin or another Top 150 QB.

im not in a twist. You have just been a dope in so many posts and so many people are tired of it. I have been on this site five years, barely posting. And every year there is a person like you who is just a hair puller and detract from the site.

Understood the view of our QB commit in the Junior class but not getting a 2023 QB stud is an urgent issue and needs to be better managed. You need to show and position the 2023 QB Opportunity as open - not as a large get together w CJ as the Lead Recruiter. Also, recruiting WR position is not analogous to QB. There can be as many as 4 WR on the field at once. Only one QB at a time.

You needed Austin to feel special.
