Injured and had to be taken to the hospital on a blind side block during a kickoff in their game against Boise State on Saturday. The video shows #51 clearly leaving his lane to make the hit. The reason this is making news is because Kennedy is openly gay (I did not know when ND was recruiting him) and he may have been purposely targeted.

Definitely a cheap shot, no doubt, but man, there's people hit harder pretty much every kick off return. Ford earlier this year was wayyy more scary (albeit not a cheap shot).
