You must have me confused with someone else? Was I not the one advocating for speculation as part of the recruiting game? How some of it was good? Therefore I’m fairly certain a reasonable mind would assume I know it exists. But it had nothing to do with the situation.

Silent commits are not speculation. They are actual events where a prospect commits to the staff before going public. A large majority of our guys are silent commits for various periods of time. Loy notifying his readers of such is not speculation. He’s plugged in and is letting folks know when good news is received by the staff, but not yet public.

Loy CB’ing 6 RB’s at the same time, is stupid speculation and I hated that stuff. His ninjas are not.

I don’t see 317 saying anything about silent commitments? You don’t always have to fill in others points for them

On a topical with Sneed and Morrison committing anyways note, who do you think the 6 were? Like genuinely curious I was thinking earlier today about it, not trying to argue that debate again (though you seem to still)

Personally at the time I thought for sure 4 of the 6 were Anderson, Bellamy, Moore and Sneed, but wasn't sure about the last two. Thought maybe Keeley for one. He hinted that there was a ninja for someone who wasn't CB'd, which was Vernon.

Sneed, Vernon and Bellamy all committed post June 28th (date of the post) publicly, but in articles said they committed pre June 28th to the staff so those are a rather definitive 3.

I did not see these “ninjas” unfold so the timeline I can’t speak 100% to. The post was made hours after Keeley committed so I don’t know if that wipes out pre-afternoon of the 28th guys or not.

Moore committed to the staff on 7/2 but was leaning Stanford post visit (6/20). That makes him not the same as the top 3 but he certainly would make sense.

My post might have come off as if I was criticizing you, and if so it’s because it was poorly worded and not at all my intent.
My point was that this board is what 50-75% speculation?
You- LL- and a handful of others provide the IE readers with that info from external sources without us having to purchase a sub and/or put the necessary amount of time in to stay up on what’s going on in recruiting. Most of us understand that we’re not only talking about sources that are trying to get clicks to make a living, but they are also reporting on the latest whims of 15-18 year old kids. It’s imperfect.
However, I’d rather hear the latest speculative news that Loy, Singer, Freeman, etc. have to say than not hear anything at all. It’s appreciated. If I were to post a headline to a story offering an update and ask the board what’s the word, the last response I would want to get would be “I read the article, but I don’t want to provide any info because it’s just speculation.”

Ha now I don’t know if I’m the one a shot was meant for.

I wasn’t withholding any juicy speculation. Loy himself called part of what he posted, speculation. If you want the full update I’d subscribe. I just saw the article and figured the name was the part worth knowing.

I thought after Agu decommitted that DJ would be next up but I think ALOT would have to happen for him to join the class. Like none of the other 3 DL ND is after would have to commit, and it seems they will get at least 1. Also some attrition from the current roster would need to happen.

Well, he is seriously considering USC so maybe a bit of both. But, beat that soft Cali a$$ and let’s see what happens.

Has anything been.said.about if there will even be room for him? Wonder who has to commit or not for to him to get in the class?

Nice to see ND trying with him again...I was excited for him early on and the kool-aid got stale. If he commits to ND great, if not no worries.

I think he just falls into the BPA category and this is just more good recruiting. Never stop recruiting quality options. You never know what is going to happen.

The way ND has been recruiting at DE, I am not too concerned about that position; I remember there was a time where ND couldn't land a DE. Wesolak is a nice option, his recruitment will be interesting to follow.

In terms of preference: Lucas, Kanu, Wesolak

If we can get the first two, I think the inn is full because we need to save some BPAs for secondary/offense

I agree, Lucas and Kanu is a take before Wesolak. I like ND's chances at ND getting Kanu.

Early on it seems like Wesolak could've committed to ND.

I'll take all 3 in a heartbeat. The transfer portal will take care of the rest, if needed.

He'll sign with Missouri or Kansas St and most likely blow it up. Good luck to him, hope he can turn things around.
