How do the paid sites go this long and not report the important connections of a Top 10 player in a class, maybe the #1 OA player as a freshman, who made various All American teams, who's already 6-2/227 and has multiple P5 offers?

Following info from ISD:

Tyler Martin's Grandfather is an ND alum who's taken him to ND games, Martin says he grew up dreaming of playing for ND and follows Drue Tranquill's play at LB.

Should be another classic ND - Michigan battle.

I'm throwing a FC expecting him to get offered at Invasion.

Same high school as Zinter. I live three miles from there. Will go have a talk with the young man.

Not that it matters but some amateur at MichiganInsiders CB'd him to the Weasels today.

Will be interesting to see if he performs well enough at camp to get an offer.

If the report above is true about him potentially being the #1 LB in the class, then I would expect him to perform well enough.

To be fair he’s only a freshman in high school. I’m not sure how much weight to give player rankings at this point. Also, while his conference is producing a surprising number of P5 recruits lately, it’s still Massachusetts private schools. A different world than Texas or Florida..
That said he would certainly appear to be a reasonable offer for Notre Dame. Go get him.

This. Get him to camp, offer, and recruit him but I'd be fairly surprised if Martin is the #1 LB in his class when it's all said and done

I'd be shocked if he's even a LB. Future DT.

That is one big rising sophomore in high school. Unless he already stopped growing, he's going to be a monster in 3 years.

Yea, he's a big boy. I'd love to see him grow an inch or two and move to DL. Otherwise, if he's going to stay at LB, he's going to need to be on a different nutrition/S&C plan than most HS football players.

He's definitely stout, especially for his grade. I wonder if he started a year late or was held back a year early on? Anyone know his age?

Yeah, if he turned 16 in 2019 and just finished his freshman year of high school, he stayed back/repeated a year somewhere along the way, probably whenever he transferred to BB&N. (8th grade?)
Like Crus said, pretty standard practice for high-level athletic recruits at those kind of schools. I believe his teammate Zak Zinter did the same.

Yep, I think Zinter transferred in after his Jr year of public school and reclassified as a Jr at BBN.

Here's an oldy off of Dad's Twitter of Tyler and Greg Crippen before he left for IMG. Looks like they played FBU together.

A side note: As a long-ago football player at a private high school in Massachusetts, I find this trend of the ISL pumping out major D1 prospects on the regular to be completely baffling.
They’re good ballplayers, and likely smart kids - natural fits for ND or Michigan or Penn State. Back when I played (20 years ago) I think about one kid from the entire conference went on to play D1 college football (and that was Rutgers). These were hockey schools. Lousy football, even by Massachusetts standards.
Now they’re showing up in droves at Irish Invasion. Times change.

Further backing up what you may have read from some of the paid sites about his early love of ND.

Let Michigan choke on that.
