Crazy stats in Indiana's best conference.

100T / 26.5 TFL / 10.5 Sks as a Soph.

64 Tkl's as a Fr.

Film matches the stats. Won't find a better DT film in '22. If he was in college right now, he could be a SDE all day long.

Has to be at the top of ND's board. Will visit again this spring. Visited for Navy last season.

Plays alongside 3*/86 DE Austin Booker ('21) who also has multiple P5 offers but he's a star and a half better by the film.

Curry should debut at a 94-95 / 5.9-6.0 but will prolly get low balled cuz he's not from GA/FL/TX

Let's get this kid the Gabriel Rubio treatment. Get in early, often, and close the deal. He's a stud.

Kid uses his hands better than any HS tape I've seen since Terry Jillery.

Team in Blue and Yellow unis is Carmel. Typically plays deep into the tournament if not in the CG. He made their kids look helpless in those clips.

Funny you say that, his film reminded me of the guy who taught Terry Jillery everything he knows, Deldon Shay.

Those stunts where he jumps two gaps were something else.

I'd have to say at this time, he's probably my #1 want (for ND) in the class. Would I rather have Shemar Stewart, Wilfredo Aybar or Domani Jackson? Yep but I know the odds w/ those cats.

Like Lucky said... Give him the Kahuna/Rubio treatment and lock this up.

Film don't lie.

Yea. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and act like I've watched a lot of 22' film but this kids film is good enough to comfortably say he's a top of the board guy regardless of what else is out there. Hopefully it's a Spring visit accompanied with an offer.

Dudes gotta be a wrestler

I'm glad you posted this because I forgot to add his other sport yesterday and it could be a deal breaker. He's a lefty and as a freshman he was already in the mid 80's. Plays for Indiana's premier travel ball team, the Indiana Bulls who have produced a ton of 1st rounders and date back to Scott Rolen.

So this is something to keep an eye on.

While all of this is is true, the likelihood of baseball winning out over football is so slim, it's hardly worth considering it a real threat. That is unless baseball is his one true love.

Most likely scenario given he is a lefty with a good frame, is D1 interest with partial scholarships offered. Limited baseball scholarships will continue to push athletes to other sports with full scholarships for college. Good for Notre Dame in this case, bad for baseball.

11.7 Scholarships for a college baseball team in excess of 30 is basically a freaking joke. This guy sums it up.

Center Grove, huh? My neighborhood butts up to Morgantown Rd. and 5 miles south is Center Grove. You guys speak so high, I have to check this guy out.

Indy Bulls. Indeed, the state's top program...at least it was back in my day. I had three HS teammates, including one who pitched at ND on full ride, who won a NATIONAL Championship with them out in Vegas. Matt Buchmeier, the ND guy, was National tourney MVP...quite an honor.

I'm not in the habit of typing this but...

Paging Coach Elston, Paging Coach Elston, Mr. Curry's on line 1 for you.

Click here fro the entire story:

https://247sports.com/Article/Caden...recruiting-Indiana-Iowa-Ohio-State-146701863/

Curry talked about those three programs.

Indiana: “Close to home definitely and I have a good relationship with Coach (Tom) Allen just talking with him.”

Iowa: “I’ve talked to Coach (Kelvin) Bell on the defensive line and he’s been telling me about good thing with their program and all the guys he’s coached and things he teaches and they’ve had a lot of success at Iowa too.”

Ohio State: “I’ve been talking to Coach Larry Johnson and Coach Kevin Wilson. Just watching the draft seems like they have a lot of success and looks like they’ve done well the past couple years. It would definitely be beneficial to have. They’re a top five school in the country football wise.

Curry had some visit plans on tap as he waits to see what happens with the Coronavirus.

“I was going to go up to Notre Dame and check them out again for a spring practice. I was going to do schools that offered, go by IU, Iowa and just the nearby schools.”

Hard for me to fault Elston too much but this is a bit of a head scratcher as we know they're already offering 2020 DL.

Funny on the 2020 typo. I typed the same thing earlier and had to look at it and say... Are we really talking seriously about '22's??? lol

As far as 2022's...

It's time to carpet bomb a well thought out depth chart right now because I've got a whole 2023 team to offer and the first 2024 that needs to be offered TODAY.

Dang. Lets do a 2024 coaching staff depth chart first.

Its extremely rare that I question the staff's judgement with offers, but this one bothers me. He'll be productive at one of the positions on the d line in college. Hard to say which but it's a low risk offer.

Freeman at ISD had a lengthy post on this. Basically, smaller than stated more like 6’2 250. Short arms and small hands. Staff feels they want length on the interior.

Personally, his film is too good to pass up but we’ll have to see what Elston gets at DT in 22’.

Elston needs to tweet the following:

I would not offer Sheldon Day nor Aaron Donald for this scheme... and before you start flaming, Howard Cross Sr. has promised us in writing that Jr. will grow, bigly.

Film says bad move but it's only a miss if the guy you bring in isn't as good.

Shades of Diaco. I can see having a profile and sticking to it, but some guys can just play, so you divert from the mold from time to time.

Watch this kid go to Purdue and become the next Ryan Kerrigan.

And it’s not they won’t recruit these guys but they already have some that will be around for awhile. So they are flexible just only going to be flexible with part of the roster. Franklin, Lacey, and Cross.

See above and... It’s not really even close to Diaco. Our DT depth chart is absolutely loaded with talent, length, size, etc. they can afford to be picky. I also think they can afford to take a guy like this and if he is a ‘miss’ then so be it. But they aren’t anywhere near Diaco levels of recruiting on the DL.

Was just reading about Tanona and Fisher working on in state dudes and it made me look up Caden Curry and Joe Strickland. I’m curious why these dudes haven’t been offered. I hope Caden grows an inch to satisfy Elston’s stubborn thinking with this one. Both are consensus 4* DLinemen in Indiana which never happens. I really hope they circle back and get in on these two.

Apparently, Caden is smaller than reported and has short arms. Strickland is a SDE and they’re looking for WDE.
