I hope we finish the class then work on flipping Henderson and some other higher guys.

With all these reclassified kids 2028 has to be a small class right? Also funny to see how college football will go from 27 year olds to 17 year olds real quick.

Not sure where to post this. Last night I was looking at QB recruiting history on II. While doing that, I was checking out our recruiting history. Holy smokes this is such a new era. We had classes with 2 top 100 prospects or less. Some classes didn't even feature a top 50 player

I mean, 2029 kids will reclassify to 2028.
Also, a lot of these kids are old for their grades anyway. Especially people like Segund who started in Canada

I was actually reminiscing on when I started following recruiting in Weis’ first year and people were just giddy that we were landing so many 4 stars cause under Willingham there was a class that had 1 4 star. Unbelievable to think how bad it got there for a minute

Same year I started following. Getting Darrin Walls and Raeshon McNeil in the same class gave me so much hope for the future considering how bad our DB play had been going all the way back to the late Holtz/early Davie years.

The 2004 class has to be the worst class in ND history. DJ Hord is a trivia answer to the question who was the only 4 star that year. And yes I don’t think he ever played at ND, at least that I remember
04 and 05 were awful. 31 players signed and only 1 draft pick (Bruton). 3 others (Kyle McCarthy, Darius Walker, Ronald Talley) played a combined 31 games in the NFL. Talley transferred out. Absolutely brutal.

Weis' first full class (2006) was a huge bust, too. They signed 26 or 27 players and at the time it was rated between the top 5-8 nationally but it yielded only 2 draft picks. 4 others played in the NFL after going undrafted, but 2 of them transferred out of ND and were developed elsewhere.

He was KR man for Weis' squad and only got 2 passes. Doing his thing as a scout for the Bears now.
