Even if Daley's health situation doesn't check out and ND doesn't want to take on the achilles risk, you have to appreciate the staff doing their due diligence and getting him to visit to see if there is a fit there.

Definitely not a guy I expected to be heading to South Bend for a visit! If the achilles tear was best case scenario and ND can somehow pull him, You will have upgraded Burnham tremendously.

We don't know what the severity of the achilles was. A full rupture (Jadarian Price) has a much different recovery timeline than a partial tear. Daley claims he'll be back in 6 months. In reality, that likely means that it was less than a full rupture and that he'll be back to training and regular activity within 6 months. It's probably 9-10 months before he'd ready to play football again... Not a doctor and don't claim to be a medical expert. I've just seen about 10+ achilles injuries of different severities during my years of coaching football. I've seen recovery periods ranging from about 8 months to 18 months depending on the kid, the severity, the rehab plan, etc.

agreed, i thought of the entire receiver room he was one of the most natural WRs, but he wants to play and dudes want guarantees.

O’Malley hinted Mylan Graham may be a target

An undergrad from OSU that didn't have the grades to get into ND out of high school? Unless he's an honor roll student at OSU, I question how legitimate of a target he could actually be.

Don't love this, I thought he looked good in his limited opportunities this year.
I'm guessing he felt he should have had more playing time and doesn't see it increasing a lot this year.

to his credit I could see this. If they are looking to bring in another receiver to replace the role that Paulding had then I wouldn't be happy with that either. Honestly, I think Greathouse and him would be two good options on the perimeter.

That was the narrative by a few ND outlets during his recruitment.
I would’ve certainly speculated that it would’ve been a challenge for him to get in, but he committed to pOSU so early that it was never discussed much.

Grades or credits? ND doesn’t generally care that much anymore about your grades unless you’re flunking out which seems like he’s at least survived OSU academically

His OSU bio does list him as a OSU Scholar-Athlete... with a pretty decent major (Real estate & urban analysis), so it does look like he actually cares about education and not taking some bs filler major.

yeah, but splitting reps with Greathouse/Faison compared to maybe starting in a school in Texas and getting most of the reps. I see why he made the decision.

He was definitely going to get more time. What silly move.

Was he? Faison is still Faison, actually with spring practice this year. I mean he could but I would say most likely barring injury it was gonna be the same with Burress and others providing pressure this time around. Would have been good depth to keep, but I don’t see a 2026 role that wasn’t there in 2025

ND doesn't normally take "undergrads" period....
