Yeah, imagine saying your playoff bound NFL team couldn’t win the Super Bowl because of a few close wins. CFB isn’t quite at that level of parity, but NIL and transfer rules has made it a lot closer to any given Saturday than it used to be.

I don’t think ND will ever field a team I’d take against the field. Just hard limits to who we can bring in that makes that really hard. But i think Freeman can consistently field teams that are good enough to make the playoffs and put a run together, and you field teams like that often enough then sooner or later odds will break in your favor.
USC shut down the Michigan run game. Not bad. We just bullied them as usual.
