Sidelines for NC State game and attended UConn game. He had two games with 3 picks but if you watched the games he was playing "hero" ball trying to rally his team back. 26 TDs to 12 INTs isnt the worst thing for a 1st year starter with Duke's WR core.
He completes just 60 percent of his passes threw a pick in every game but two I think and only averages 7 yards so I don't know why you are a huge fan of his

Not about being a fan of his but he has alot of potential. People on this board said Warren sucked last year, when I said he was a top 5 TE and now he's a 2nd TM AA, some guy said Singleton sucked and he's over 1k once sgain while splitting carries even more than Love. Im convinced most dont really watch the games and certainly dont attend games, instead piggy back off another person in the same boat, blind leading the blind. In Murphy's case you forget to mention he was a 1st year starter, had no run game to speak of and his leading WR was a guy who came in as a RB. The kid also threw 3 TDs in 6-7 games as well.

He isn't a first time starter he has to start multiple games last year for Texas and he played exactly the same there with a much better roster

Ever feel like you’re arguing w clouds?

Except for those games he started, he’s a first time starter. Duh.
Rocket man is America's number one scout and talent evaluator so I am very lucky to hear his takes on Maalik Murphy top QB in the portal who went to a non power 4 school who definitely wasn't pushed out for a different QB from the g5

I want to remind the doom and gloomers... ND has won 13 games and counting this year with below average passing and receiving production. Despite this, ND had one the highest scoring differentials in P4. We return all of our offensive line and our top 3 rbs. But keep harping on WRs and DTs not meeting your unrealistic expectations.

That’s all great (honestly, it is). But imagine if we improved those units?

- We’d be OSU tier talent but with better coaching.
- We’d be favored against Penn State by 7-12 points instead of basically a pick ‘em.
- We would have greater capability to come back in games if we find ourselves down. What happens if Penn State or OSU/Texas take a 14+ pt lead on us mid-late game? I know this is a tired argument and we’ve avoided this so far, but it will eventually happen.

And none of this “if my grandma had wheels she would have been a bike”. It should be feasible to improve these units with the season we’re having. We have narrowed the gap talent-wise on the roster and it’s fair to try to find what’s lagging behind. Del really set us back and we’re still coming back from it.

No doom and gloom, love where we’re at, but I do believe those units (def WR, less DT) are the missing pieces.

Either way let’s beat the breaks off of Penn State tonight.

Imagine where we would be if we had 1-2 Jr or senior difference makers at DE. We need to do a better job at recruiting those positions. The younger guys like Young, Thomas look like they'll be studs going forward.

Yeah at those point trust the staff they have proven they know what they are doing. They are down plenty of d lineman and guess what we just whipped Georgia up front. Maybe these professional coaches know that they are doing

Gotta think he knew he wasn't being welcomed back and with the injury no NFL team in their right mind would draft him.

What are the odds that wherever he ends up he takes a medical redshirt?

Maybe Cristobal sends Emory Williams to slaughter versus ND and starts Beck after Week 1 to get healthy
