I don’t watch or keep track like some of you all do.

Is coaching the issue? McGraw didn’t seem to have the winning issues.

Yesterday's game was the hardest women's basketball game to ever watch, they played lazy. These transfer additions are not impressive at all.

For those questioning Ivey if you get rid of her, who are you going to get? It's a rebuilding year and we'll see in the off season how much Hidalgo loves ND.

The recruiting has picked up. Not sure whether that is her or Pat, but that is the one thing that has changed for the better recently.
Yeah and if we dump her after this year that group will probably disappear. Also will probably be her last stand, a la Brey and the Laz, Goodwin, Hubb class, unless she can keep HH or get some actual talent in the portal.

Well you're better man than I. Watched about three minutes, breakneck pace, we missed every single shot and I went back to football.

I flipped back and forth between the women's game and football. Michigan was able to handle Hidalgo. Someone is going to need to step up besides Hidalgo and step up fast.

I won’t re hash what’s already been said. A couple of things:
1. Shooting will be inconsistent all year. There will be some games where someone catches fire, maybe DeJesus or Cass, but it won’t be a constant occurrence.
2. I believe Ivey wants to press/pressure the ball handlers throughout a game. Didn’t happen with early foul trouble. We’ll see what happens.
3. Really disappointed in Ivey. First time I’m saying that. I’ve never been a fan of her offense, it’s the typical professional copy cat of have your guards drive and create. It worked when you had Miles and Citron and plenty of shooters. It’s not going to work for this team at all. Not by a long shot. This team is much better suited for a system with lots of off ball movements and cutting. Might be her ultimate downfall.
In terms of who they can get if Ivey gets canned, start with the OSU coach. He has ties to ND. Plenty of other coaches with ND ties.

I believe that there are a lot of good WBB coaches out there in lesser light situations. With any assessment at all, and a good salary offer, we for sure should be attractive.

I watched the Ivey post-game con. Completely lacking in useful content, except for two things: 1 --> she didn't invite Hannah out to face any questions (probably wise, but maybe a hint about being able to handle the situation); and 2 --> she did bring KK out (who disported herself very well as a mature adult.) Otherwise the coach talked and looked like a frazzled person with no real insights as to how to go forward (we need to play harder on defense ... yeh, we know; what about utterly incompetent offense?)

For curiosity's sake, I looked up how TCU was doing. They look like contenders. They controlled NC State and are ranked 10th, which seems legitimate. They start three transfers: a 6'7" Portuguese center, a really-outstanding 6'3" Spanish forward, and Olivia Miles. In the NC State game, Miles had 14 REBOUNDS. Apparently highly motivated. ... I came away not feeling good about NDWBB on any level.

Huge win for the ladies. That SC player had what looked like great position on Hannah.

Nice win over a quality team that beat NC State earlier this season.

They also announced the signing class at the game, and Lewis was included. So it sounds like she signed but just didn't make a big to-do about it for whatever reason.

I thought they were toast when USC pulled away to start the second half. Great win and grit by the ladies

didn't turn on until start of 4th but what i saw was a decent but not a great looking team as they still are missing a lot of shots that will hurt them going forward if they don't improve but a very good win against the 11th ranked team

Strange game. USC surprisingly non-physical and not tall either. Very dependent upon freshman ace and one other player. Several of them shook by Hannah AND Cass and KK's physicality/hustle. Therefore there was no bullying of us by them. Translation: they (USC) can be made "soft" (note relatively low-scoring game. Lots of turnovers both ways.) So, the fact that we got embarrassed by Michigan brought out the pride in several players, and USC paid for it and often wilted in our heated effort. We still didn't look like a good Bball team though.

There was a glimmer of hope that we might get better. The main thing was De Jesus. She stepped up as a player. Good point guard work, plus now seems to have Green Light to shoot. She looks to me to be a person who will grow into making the Open Three, which we desperately need. She also MIGHT be able not only to drive (which she did) but to dish at the correct moment (usually did not, but I believe that is the other players' fault for not getting into position.) De Jesus could turn into a solid ACC guard.

Cass and KK played hard and angry. That helped. KK is getting a little better at shot creation without looking like she's about to fall down. Cass was wild with effort, but really needs to practice and confidently put up her jump shot. Sanchez is what she is going to be as far as physicality is concerned -- she isn't going to manage that. BUT she has no business NOT getting good at shooting threes out of the corners. Her shot has fine form. CONFIDENCE and keep shooting.

That's the starting team. Ivey set up the game with a double stack screen for Hannah (other than single simple pick) so it was harder to coordinate hard double-teams. Good. Then she put De Jesus at point most of the time, and let Hannah come from the corner. Also worth doing. When it was time for USC to "Michigan" Hannah on picks, they had forgotten the proper way half the time.

The two subs: The first one in (the overweight girl) was really pretty bad. She seemed to be trying but ... not much smoothness nor talent to my eye. The other sub (looking like her slightly more in shape little sister) seemed to pick up the team when we went to Zone --- looked like she knew what she was doing defensively. There were a couple of plays when she seemed that maybe she had some offense in her somewhere hidden away.

I believe that the girls will try hard. I also believe that our tolerability depends upon all five starters taking open shots with confidence and Ivey encouraging all of them to do so. IF they get better at it, maybe we'll beat somebody now and then, like today.

Ladies starting off great against ole miss. Tough defense and fighting for boards. Hannah is on fire.

That's an understatement. Woof

They aren’t starting the much better. The coach doesn’t seem to be real good at adjustments.

De Jesus doesn’t show me a whole lot and Sanchez is cold as ice after that 3
