Everyone one at II and ISD picked USC except Freeman and Loy. And no one had the balls to pick a blow out.
I think SC could definitely blow out ND but ND blowing out the Trojans would take a lot of crazy stuff happening IMO. Kinda like the Clemson game w/ the pick six, blocked punt for TD & interception deep w/in Clemson territory for easy score.

Not to put the last loss on Hartman b/c it was definitely a program effort but ND was minus 4 in the turnover department. Sampson looked up the numbers of teams who were minus 4 in TO and the record wasn’t surprising. Then he acknowledged that the last interception was in garbage time so he looked at teams w/ minus 3 TO ration and their record was equally bad.

So, if ND can win the TO battle in convincing factor, that could a go a long way in securing the win.

Hypothetically, if we play the exact same way we did against OSU, I think we win by multiple scores. Just don't know if that's possible at the end of this 4 game stretch.

The pressure that Williams will put on our D compared to osu is significantly more. OSU kicked a fg after we missed a pick, scored a td on a long run with 2 missed tackles, then scored game winning td after an easy pick. I think if we play vs USC like we did vs OSU we give up 31 points due to missed opportunities, and we either win 34-31 or lose 27 - 31.

Last 3 games vs USC - Arizona State scored 28, Colorado 41, Arizona 41. To me the basement should be 28 points. If we score under 28 points it should be automatic demotion of parker (unless the rain stalls and stays in south bend impacting total score). 34-40 would be showing improvement, greater than 40, maybe we're back (if we win) lol.

I damned well hope that it doesn't come down to the Irish having to go for it on 4th and +10 yds to go with 10 mins. left in the game! Also, the Irish play EVERY defensive snap with 11 players on the field!!!

If I didn’t know the line, I’d think SC by 14. Who knows.

I thought the same thing.

Only thing I can think is that Vegas is deeply uncomfortable with the competition USC has faced thus far (1-5, 0-5, 1-4, 1-5, 4-2, 3-3).

15 missed tackles on Williams, painted nails flashing for the cameras and Jason G smiling ear to ear.

ND 34-31. FUSC! I would never pick those turds to win this game.

And, Marcus Freeman cannot lose this game and have this Notre Dame team fall out of the top 25 going into the bye week.

Agreed. I shudder to think how Freeman & staff answer the same questions they got after the UL game.

Sam comes out with Fuck USC painted on his fingernails and ignores the inept play calling of parker, calls the game from the field, and rolls the rubbers back to LA. Shit I woke up and don't remember the rest

I think ND gets blasted in this game. Been wrong about virtually every game so far this year, hope that continues. But this is the perfect "get right" game for USC's defense considering how predictable and one dimensional ND is.

They could. Or they could nut up and win but I have no idea and don’t think anyone outside the two locker rooms do either. If they do get blasted, I cannot take another week of pods covering pressers where the coaches’ give the same answers to the same questions & are then left speculating the future…which is even more frustrating b/c they don’t have much more insight than fans if they continue to get “it’s not the plays, it’s the execution & that’s on us as coaches”

I don't think our defense is good enough to keep Williams in check for 4Qs. Hell, they weren't good enough to keep L'Ville in check (not entirely their fault, defense has been outstanding this season and they were gassed with the O's turnovers).

At the end of the day, I know USC's defense is BAD, but so is our O right now. Do we trust our Offense to score 35+ points to win the game? I don't know, given the performance the past few weeks.

I hate typing this. I hate that my spirits are crushed rn. But I don't have much faith in Parker. And honestly, Jack S. can pound sand for concocting this piece of shit schedule. Great idea to start week 0 in Ireland and trot the boys out there for 8 consecutive weeks, straight through mid-terms, and make game 8/8 against USC. Good riddance, man. Should be a fireable offense, if not for him already having one foot out the door.

USC 42, ND 28. And I sincerely hope someone has the chance to absolutely ROAST me next week. I'd welcome it.
Screw this guy, am I right?! Boom, self roasted.

Go Irish!
