Oregon can't seem to play the same against Washington. Hope Washington goes and wins it all.

Deboer > Lannnig. Penix > Nix. Penix gets rid of the ball quick and is accurate. Also more mobile than Nix. UW looked very well coached. Starting to wonder if they could make noise in the playoff. Anything is game with a stud qb.

Could end up being quite the Heisman moment?

Maybe in this game but Nix was on a record setting pace for comp pct and had more rushing yards than Penix in this game and on the season.

Started too slow.

I hate to beat a dead horse but prior to Nix’s last drive and long TD pass. He was around 5yds/att. And Oregon trailed most of the game. Hard to win when throwing the ball doesn’t have a material benefit over running it.

Would love for Washington to rip the Skunkbears hearts out. Gail Lewis would have to come out of retirement to deal with Skunkbear faithful storming Walmart

Was is the operative word. Penix has his team undefeated and on it's way to the playoffs beating Nix both times. He gets rid of the ball quicker than Nix, runs better, and strikes me as more of a leader. Nix is a stud no doubt but Penix came through when it counted.

I agree with some of that but we’re talking a 12 game sample size over just one.

But he flat out doesn’t run better than Nix. Not in this game or for the season. Unsure how one could draw that conclusion. He had 4 carries for -4 yards.

I stand corrected about the rushing. Nix trumps him there. Both qbs are studs and entertaining. Think both do well at the next level if they stay healthy.

And I don't know if we all know how really good GA (or AL) actually is this year?

Going into this game, I thought Oregon was playing some of the best ball in the country. Obviously, that doesn’t matter any longer.

I think UW is a pretty good matchup for Michigan. They’re a team that is willing and able to play physical but have playmakers outside to get the big plays.

They're Ohio State with a legit QB.

Michigan hasn't been able to really do much offensively against good defensive teams. They've done just enough against teams whose offenses have not been up to snuff. Washington are effective both ways.

So what playoff scenario does everyone want to see? Washington just stamped their ticket, Michigan is in barring a shocker...UGA vs BAMA, Texas and FSU for the last two spots. I'm hoping for Georgia and Texas to win and FSU to lose. Georgia vs Texas and Michigan vs Washington is my preferred playoff. In a perfect world Texas, BAMA, and FSU win and Texas gets in over BAMA due to head to head and eliminates the SEC altogether. I think regardless of the other three teams most of us are going to be rooting for Washington.

Worst case scenario for ND. Now we won't get UW's WR coach and Michigan again will get the easiest 1st round game again. Washington is very beatable and Michigan's corners are awesome.

Freeman is delusional to think he can court UW WR coach this time around.

Like we had an actual chance of that happening, anyway……

UGA: No
Michigan: No
Florida State: No
Washington: Yes
Ohio State: No
Texas: No
Alabama: No

Washington or bust at this point. Most likeable team for me by several miles among that steaming pile of hippo crap.

Wondering if Ryan Grubb might be a legit option for the Fresno State job.

Love the word soup on gameday this morning. Why not be honest, “Papa Mouse wants the SEC in and what Papa wants, Papa gets regardless of who wins this weekend and who doesn’t.”

Cause you know, the Sec is #1, what? They went 7-5 in bowl games last year? Don’t confuse my opinion with your facts!

Outside of the Playoffs, do bowl games really matter? Every good player opts out nowadays. I think in-season non conference matchups is a better metric.

Great point, so Bama wins, lost to Texas so behind them, and arguably tried to shit the bed against a below average USF team. So they beat Georgia, the Sec is most likely out. Thank you for making my point.

I’m all for Texas jumping Alabama. They thoroughly beat them in Tuscaloosa. If Alabama wins, I think both Alabama and Georgia should be left out (assuming FSU and Texas wins, of course).

I’m just saying bowl records are now largely irrelevant.

Completely agree with you on that point. To be perfectly honest, I agree the SEC has more elite teams year in year out, however, using anything other than the current year’s production on the field as a factor on playoff contention is total garbage. I would say that louder if it wasn’t for the fact it seems self serving coming from the fan of an independent team.
