I’m fine at least considering Cholowsky if they like him but you’d 1000% have to get another bonafide recruit. Can’t give 2 schollies to Powlus and a kid who’s not gonna be here more than likely it sounds like.

He’s not really a solution to the 2023 QB recruit situation, just icing at best.

Don’t care if 247 slaps on a 88 rating because Loy likes him (he’s touting his QB eval skills)

If he does play for ND, I hope he doesn't count against the 85 but instead is on a baseball scholarship.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but I believe the NCAA rules are if he has a baseball scholarship he can be a PWO for football unless he plays a snap. If so I like this move, based on the film he looks like a kid with alot of natural ability who is very raw.

Yikes, I hope that's not the case. If so, punt on taking a QB in the 2023 class unless they're able to get a new OC before February and the QB is the new OC's pick.

Nah, its taking a high ceiling low floor guy that doesnt take a scholarship is a awesome move. On the IB podcast today Ryan Roberts said that they would still be looking to add another 2023 QB outside of Cholowsky regardless of his decision. Chowowsky being a PWO and take another scolarship QB in 2023

Ryan Roberts said on the show today that the two main targets they are going after are Aidan Chiles and Avery Johnson.

Dude makes 5 star Phils arm action look smooth. I give up

Why is that yikes? Its actually great. If Cholowsky is good enough to be a starter at our level, he gets a football scholarship. If he isn't, he isn't taking a football scholarship and will probably concentrate on baseball.

Yikes if he still counts against the 85. We don't play by the gray shirt and blue shirt rules that the SEC schools do and we need every scholarship we can get.

I'm so confused why you are so negative about him as a prospect. He isnt taking a scholarship spot and we are still going after a scholarship QB. If you watch the actual film he is very athletic and has a ton of natural ability. He has a very high ceiling.

Realistically if your a projected first round prospect in baseball you forgo college. Doesn’t make any sense to delay his career for lost likely never taking a snap at ND. Also two sport players at QB is extremely difficult eventually you must pick one over the other and for him thats baseball. So why take a player when football will likely not be his priority.

There are always a couple guys that skip out on the draft. Some just really want to go to college. Others just really don't want to spend more time in the minors. And for some that have an obvious area of weakness, they might bet on themselves if a team isn't willing to hit their number.

Also, two of the best QBs in the NFL are guys that played both in college. It's not an unheard of situation.

Cholowsky is coming as a baseball prospect. He may be a PWO candidate, but he's also one of the top SS prospects in the MLB draft. I don't expect him to make it to college at all.
This would be a hell of a pickup for the baseball team. Potential highest rated recruit in the program’s history?

Dan Lanning leaving Oregon after one season after Mario Cristobal left Oregon after four seasons after Willie Taggart left Oregon after one season would be so funny that it might break my ability to find anything funny ever again.

Don't think Kiffin is moving. I think the rumor is coming from his agent to leverage some more $$$. He's got it good at Ole Miss and doesn't have to play second fiddle in the state.

Funny that no one wants to bring up the fact that Roch is already a UCLA commit

Because if he gets drafted in the 1st round and chooses baseball, it doesn’t matter that he’s a UCLA baseball commit anyways.

Plus, he isn't committed for football and UCLA already has a quarterback in their class.
