I just don't see it with Avery. Stay the course with Dante. And then if we miss on him it'll be up to Tommy to work some magic with Tyler and CJ. If he can't do that, well, then he won't be here very long.

They are discussing on 247 that apparently Nico can’t play his senior year as part of the NIL deal.

Checking out some of the new names mentioned.

Is Kenny Minchey just a taller Ian Book?

The consensus is no based on what I'm reading.

And of the names being mentioned in the last few days, out of all of them, he's the one I'm leaning to as my personal preference. Granted, I'm just a fan, but it's him and the Baylor kid second for me.

No meaning he is better than or not as good as Ian?

Q: Is Kenny Minchey just a taller Ian Book?

A: No, he is not just a taller Ian Book, he is a better player than Book was at the same point of their HS careers. The consensus is he is both taller and better than Ian Book at this stage as a recruit. One would also say he is better at this stage as a recruit than Tommy Rees was. Everything that I had read about him thus far suggests that he is a better prospect right now than Ian Book was in July going into his senior year.

Minchey is a three star on Rivals. 247, On3 and ESPN list him as a four.

High 3, low 4, whatever I don't know. I'll leave that to the beat guys here

OSU and A&M are both chasing Novosad as well, so it's not like Tommy's alone in thinking he's the best of the flippable QB's.

Novosad also has a Stanford offer, no clue about where the Pitt kid's academics are at.

I watched some film at work today. My thoughts:
-I think Glenn was my favorite. Some off platform throws that really showed off his arm talent
-Whoever made Minchey's film did him a disservice. His first throws are all deep balls to open WRs. That isn't impressive imo. However, as the film progressed you saw more and more that you like. Manipulating windows, tight window throws, great decisions, protecting his receivers with ball location

Minchey goes to the same HS as Golden Tate, has Vandy and UVA offers.

Glenn definitely has a cannon. Seems like a super high ceiling with an uncertain floor.

I love the Ohio State model of taking a great QB every class. Clemson's one great and then one okay one is solid too. I think if you can't get Carr, Glenn's ceiling is the way to go.

i didn’t see a cannon per se on Glenn. IMO he has the arm strength to make most throws but plus plus arm strength or a cannon it’d stop short of

Can anyone explain Bama's strategy here? Basically get two top 100 QBs so that one of my rivals is shit out of luck?

Haven’t read much but it’d think they like Longeran more than Holstein for them to even risk any possible blow back. Longeran could very well choose baseball though which might be incentive for Holstein to stick with his commitment.

Tua and Mac Part 2

I think that’s what they are saying to convince both to join a 2 man class but Tua was 5 star which neither here are and Mac was a composite 3 star which neither are. They also followed that class with essentially no one by getting low 3 star Layne Hatcher who was basically a PWO before transferring. There’s almost no chance they don’t take a blue chip QB again next year this time around.

For Longeran it makes sense, he sizes up his baseball and football ability in the best conference for both. I think it’s smart of him to put himself in the best spot to make his sport decision since he’s not ready to give one up yet.

There isn't actually that much difference in getting two QB's in back-to-back classes (which happens all the time) and two QBs in the same cycle.

A QB beat out by the guy in the same class as him transfers.

A QB beat out by the guy a year behind him transfers.

A QB beat out by the guy one year ahead of him is going to, what, wait until their senior year to play? No. These days, they transfer.
