Apparently George Wilson wasn't a take. A UVA guy told me he wasn't a take for them even though he was offered. Duke/Vandy never offered either.

So to say we dropped the ball on some kids is probably true, but in a number, I’m sure there was lack of interest for whatever reason on one side or the other, or both,

When I said dropped the ball, it was in reference of the Kwitty Paye recruitment which ND did not handle well BUT I prefaced it by saying ND ended up not missing him. We can thank the 2016 class for that. Now, if JuAde, Ovie, Foskey, NOM aren't tearing it up in '21, then MAYBE we revisit a situation where missing on Paye hurt.

Thanks for clearing this stuff up. Andrew Ivins posted an article mentioning that Ishmael from Columbus HS down here in Miami could be a possibility. He doesn’t talk to the media and is very quiet but he goes to a catholic all boys HS, has the books, and has heard from ND during the coronavirus dead period. He’s likely a lock to UM cause his dad works for the football program but he said you never know. Zaire Patterson is probably a long shot because of the fact that he’s got UNC, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame all recruiting him which is the who’s who of programs (UNC is that for North Carolina kids right now) and he’s never been to Notre Dame which makes it difficult to imagine beating Clemson, the in state Heels, or one of the other closer blue bloods for him. So yea, I’m pretty sure right now it looks like Onye and Bennett if they want in and not much else. Both of them would make 19 scholarship DLinemen for 2021 which is wild but they’ll be attrition probably. That’s why I could see them going for Onye and then Bennett or nothing for that 4th spot.

Not being a dick, but honestly, when watching both films, how do you not like Diggs more? More quick twitch, speed between the 2 is close. I think his ceiling is much higher. Curious of your evaluation on both

I'm with Lucky on these two. If Tyree was not in the room, maybe it's the other way around. I'd rather have a bigger guy with long speed and from the improvement in his track times, I thin he might just be scratching the surface.

Mostly it’s due to what I think is needed and McCaskill seems to have that. Which is speed. I think McCaskill is a meaningful step faster. I like Diggs feet but I worry about his hips. Reminds of Tony Jones in that he has nice feet but tight hips and that inhibits acceleration and top end speed. Both are solid prospects but I think Alton has the upside because of that speed.

Another one for Fleck... 4* RB Mar'Keise Irving out of the south Chicago suburbs.

Irving, a junior who has multiple Power 5 offers this winter was simply one of the most dangerous running threat all season long in the State of Illinois. Irving, who suffered a season ending injury early in the Class 5A state playoffs had 178 carries for 1,733 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2019.

Here is a new RB name from BGI. Nothing serious at the moment but a guy Taylor and Rees have some interest in. He's got the academic offers and some good film. Kid can move.

Saw the beginning of an ISD article from March that he was planning a Bama visit until Covid derailed the Spring.

No CB's on 247; his film doesn't make your jaw drop, but ATL prep-school kid with that offer list = automatic IMO. Hope our staff makes him a priority.

Love the film. Gets north to south quick. Has good vision and cuts well. Also not afraid of contact. He is a take to me.

I would tell the other RBs (Diggs etc) that if you commit we will still be recruiting LJ Johnson and Donovan Edwards and if either commits we will take 2.

Loy mentioned these 4 in the video. He thinks ND’s got a shot with Edwards and that they might be outside top 5 but they could be gaining ground as he’s been in Zoom calls with BK, Rees and Taylor. LJ Johnson is definitely gonna be recruited hard but the question is being late to the game. I think for Johnson it’ll be either A&M, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma or Stanford and ND. He’s a high academic kid so we’ll have to see if he’s going for academics or going for football with a side of academics. Loy and Sinclair like Diggs and McCaskill but obviously I’m hoping for one of Edwards or Johnson.
