I am not going to get overly concerned but I will say Lea's strategy at ILB recruiting is perplexing. We have no traction with the guys we've offered and seemingly no new targets to move on. I do think they can be patient, with what they have on campus, but this seems like a time to move.

If you follow my boards (even though they are not as vigorously updated as in the past) you'll know this name from the OT's. Murphy kicked off camp season in style and there's a lot of buzz about him right now.

The 2021 OL convention in South Bend can't happen soon enough because I want them to expand the board and a Murphy sounds like a great place to start.

A LOT of Notre Dame targets seeing big jumps in the latest 247 rankings. Just from the West Coast:

TE Brock Bowers jumped from No. 204 to No. 52
CB Ceyair Wright jumped from No. 178 to No. 67
RB Prophet Brown jumped up to 175
CB D.J. Harvey jumped up from No. 243 to No. 185
S Xamarion Gordon jumped up to No. 241

I really hope we land Wright. I love his film, he is going to be a special one IMO. Pair him with Styles and I would be happy at CB in terms of star power.

Supposedly ND was in this but until Shipley says yes or no, we won't be able tto get a read on who is a real possibility for the RB spot.

I think the fact he has no profile says everything we've always known.

Yes ND is in his top group BUT...

Oregon was thought to be the leader and Donte Williams washis recruiter. Now he's at SC.

Fellow LA area DB recruit Anthony Beavers was committed to Williams and Oregon. Williams left, he decommitted.

Before the Westcoast 247 guys alluded to him leaning towards Williams/Oregon, I thought he was ND's best chance for a upper tier CB this cycle. Not so much anymore.

He's still probably OV so we get to feel excited at the chance of getting him but my breath is not held.

I think Kirkwood is closer comp to Hamilton this cycle. He'd be higher on my board for long FS's. But, I really like the offer.

Also, the Premium Sports Group 7on7 team (from Cali) that was expected to visit today did not end up making it. They skipped their ND and UM visits due to time restrictions.

It seems like these always fall through.
