Adding big Henry Lutovsky from Iowa. 6-6/320 Class of '21 OL. Offers from MO/Ia St/Neb

Also adding even bigger J'Marion Gooch from TN. 6-9/315 per his latest Twitter.

Has offers from:

Auburn
FSU
Miami
SCar
Tenn
USC
VT

Some one call Old Country Buffet and tell them to lock the doors.

Brey going to get a look at this kid? I bet he'd be a beast on the blocks.

Pretty clear the staff is looking to expand the board at OL for 21' and I like what they're doing with these visitors.

They just got Styles but I think crowds may be a better overall receiver

In this situation if I could only choose one, I'd take Styles. He's a 4.5 flat guy, 10.8 100m who plays at 6-0/180+ already. Crowdus is a freak in the Rondale tradition but he's slight and short. He's smaller than Keys.

But I don't have to choose between them, I take both. Because for the gazillionth time... (everybody join in) SPEED KILLS.

Dekel Crowder didn’t make it for a second time. He’s more than likely off the board. He’s electric but if I’m the staff I’d do the same.

Yeah Crowdus reminds me of styles. If they need a 4th WR he has to be it tho

Is there a list of those expected to EE somewhere?

Here's what I have so far.

Jordan Botelho
Jay Brunelle
Alexander Ehrensberger
Rylie Mills
Caleb Offord
Drew Pyne
Xavier Watts

Isaiah Pryor enrolls in January too.

HATE all of the guys playing basketball after they sign. Get to SB and take care of Job 1.

Weak EE list to be honest.

Only two in the class and both are hoopers, as Crus touched on before.

just having me a sad - the linemen seem to be the ones that can benefit the most from getting in the program (at least in my opinion)

Thanks fellas. I was hoping to see all DB's EE'ing. Hopefully Henderson comes on board and Watts can go to the D side of the ball. Brunelle might be a kid that could see the field next year so that's a good EE. Getting Mayer here early would have been tremendous as well. I know he's one of the "why on God's green earth are you doing that" basketball players.

Understandable, but we have our top 6 OL coming back and all 4 of last years OL haul EE'd so they'll be ahead of the curve. Baker getting extra weight room time would be big as he's seemingly the heir apparent to Eich as a sophomore. That extra 5-6 months would come in handy for 21'.

I agree. I understand that having a great Sr year and playing a hobby sport can be great fun but when a hobby interferes with your potential future career? Not sure how wise that is.

Now if the school doesnt allow AA, I get it.

Legally, can someone explain to me HOW a HS can deny someone being able to EE if they technically qualify for it?

I think Michael Carmody's situation is unique enough that I get it. He comes from a basketball family (his first love), dad is the coach, and he wants to go out playing for Paps. Baker's situation, not as much.

I’ll always remember what Mike Mayock says: as a scout he loves guys that play multiple sports. Show athleticism, competitiveness and traits in basketball like footwork helps in football. So I’m fine with it.

Many private schools don't allow it because there is no way to complete their curriculum after just 7 semesters. St Peter's Prep, Bishop Gorman... remember when Tater Martell transferred to Desert Pines for a week or something to graduate in Dec so he could EE at OSU?

90+% of incoming ND commits could graduate early if they wanted to, even if they had to transfer HS's for a minute.

I'm all for & prefer multi-sport athletes... until you sign. Playing basketball is the biggest no-no for me, high chance of long term injury to a knee or ankle and in the cases of Baker, Carmody, Mayer & Bauman... it's not only keeping them out of the weight room, it's making them burn way too many calories. Double death.

Baker mattered. He'll end up in the 270's after basketball season. I think he'll need to be 325-330 to play effectively. He's got an elite frame obviously but he's not blessed with a WWE physique. That extra 8 months of proper lifting and the subtraction of the body-eating cardio/aerobic grind would have gone a long way to get him ready for JOB ONE... being the starting LT at Notre Dame in '21 and getting to the NFL in 3 years.
