Hope Farrell doesn't play more than 20 minutes if he is back - would love to see him live tomorrow though. Also hope Harvey is back for FSU b/c I will be at that game too. Let's get some momentum! @NCST will be a steal if we can pull it off - no telling which team shows up but we are also due for a better shooting day. Hope Farrell can take some offensive pressure off and allow some guys to return to more comfortable rolls. Harvey will be a bigger boost IMO though.

Well, the consensus had been that we needed 9-9 to be on the right aide of the bubble in March. I’ve pretty much chalked up NC State as a loss and assumed Farrell would be out.
Losing at NC State drops us to 3-7, but I actually think we can still get to 9-9 after that assuming we get Farrell back 100%.

at UNC
at Boston College
vs Miami
at Wake Forest
vs Pitt
at UVA
UNC and UVA on the road look like sure losses. I think we would be favored in every other game apart from vs Miami and maybe at BC. We just need to finally get a win and get a tiny bit of momentum. I’d guess we go 8-10, but I really think 9-9 is still in play.

I don't think you can look at that bubble without any regard for the ACC tourney. 9-9 is probably out if we lose first game in the tourney - 8-10 probably needs an extra win over 9-9, IMO. Could help us out if we miss a bye so we get that extra game in vs a lesser opponent. As I stated before, I think 20 wins is the bogie. 7 wins from here any way we can get them.
Also, road wins count for a lot. If we can go 2-2 or even 3-1 on the road to BC, WF, UNC and NCST we start to look better on that bubble. Except for Duke, these guys are in these games. A little momentum from reinforcements can go a long way to turn this streak around.

UNC will be coming off an 8pm vs Duke on Thursday 2/8 with a quick turnaround to @ NCST 2pm Saturday the 10th with us coming in Monday night 2/12 for a 7pm tip. Those guys are going to lay it all out for their rivals - are they really going to keep their focus for us? That game lines up as well as we could ever hope for them to be ripe for the picking. Plus, they ain't that great.

Most of us didn’t think it was possible. I can only think of a couple of guys who did. We were not a good team even when everyone was healthy.
To be fair, they guy did hold him off. Although, Brey should know better in that situation.
Well, at least now when I’m in Vegas watching the tournament, I won’t have to pause my drinking to watch the Irish play.
That said, I think it’s a bit unfair to say we were not a good team before the injuries. If you want to question the ceiling of this team overall, that’s fine. But a team that has been so patchwork this entire year with guys in and out of the lineup, not to mention missing an All-American, Isn’t much of a reflection of the original potential. I never thought we were final for good, but I thought we had a chance to make the second weekend. Every team sans Virginia, Purdue, and Villanova have had a bad loss or two. It’s hard to project what this team could have been considering we were what, 11 and three, when Bonzie got hurt
