It's understandable why this wouldn't happen, but Zach Martin zero'd out Rutgers' pass rush on his side [announcers said "He's an eraser"] and should be on any team honoring OLinemen.

I am concerned more about losing ZMart than anyone for next year's team. It is VERY difficult to replace "perfection", and when it's someplace like left tackle --- no matter how good Elmer, Stanley et al are --- we're going to severely miss him.

"Perfection" is a perfect way to put it. He is that good. But we have some young recruits who might hold their own.

A strong case can be made for Zach. I suspect Mathews and Robinson who did have big games got the edge consistent with their draft projections.

They "might hold their own" but they don't have the advantage of 53 career starts, 4 years of Divison 1 weight training and technique development in a 23 year old man's body.

There is no comparison between that 5th year man and a 19 year old kid.

Yeah, you are right.

But this is college football. Guys move on, NFL is the preferred route.

Plug a guy in, lets see.
