SoCalDomer, sorry for hijacking your post, but I just wanted to make that change to ensure that this gets split up into positions. That way, this will give the viewer a bettter idea of what to expect. Hope this helps.

I didn't want to write this on the above post so as to keep it clean. I will try to update as events progress.

Is there a reason why we havent offered Ian Gray Jr. yet, thim and Seantrel Henderson together would be awesome, the offensive line would be scary big and strong.

well, there are 4 other OL who received offers so far.

Based on the way I understand CW and staff extending offers, they first go and rate each player at the desired position and put them in order #1 through whatever. #1 gets offered first, then #2 and so on. depth/needs and how many scholarships are available will determine how many offers are out there for a given position at any given time.

when it appears those with current offers are no longer interested or seriously considering the Irish AND the staff determines one or more recruits are needed at a given position, then additional offers go out to the next guy or guys in order.

If I'm right (about their system), Ian Gray must be rated lower than the 4 who are currently offered.

I see where you are coming from with the system, however I think he is at least a top 6 offensive lineman and a son of a former ND standout, I think if he is pursued strongly enough it is a relatively easy target. He does have a great name however and it might be tough if you join the race to late.

Corey Cooper is listed as a safety on Rivals.

Cool. Thanks! Any top flight CB's for 2010 have us listed high? I know we have depth right now, but I'd love to get a stud shutdown corner in next year's class to take over (along with Blanton) when McNeil and Walls are gone.

updated the first post and organized it by position. from the looks of it, the staff is focusing hard on OT, DE and QB.

there is supposed to be a new wave of offers going out today, Monday 3/2/09.
