Blown up over the last week or so.

Goes to Weishar's high school, top 10 program in Ill.

Had 850 yd on 39 rec & 9 TD.

If he has the books, expect an offer. A ton of ND follows.

Think they should offer. Lock him and AJ up. Seem to be tight. Also WR may end up being like the OL in 2020. Not enough spots for guys

I would put them as a top 10 program in the last 5-10 years absolutely.. Pat Dunne grew it well.

Loyola
Lincoln Way East
Mt Carmel
Glenbard West
Montini
Sacred Heart Griffin
Providence
Phillips
Maine South
East St Louis
Nazareth
Prairie Ridge
Cary Grove

Here’s 13 off the top of my head that are better programs than Marist the last 10 years. I didn’t include programs like IC and Rochester that are below 5a or any of the 1a/2a powers. Marist is a very good program but let’s not get carried away. Dunne did a great job and Marist is cleaning up on the recruiting trail but aside from 2 fairy tale runs that ended with a beatdown in the title Marist typically underachieves in the playoffs.

With that said Thompson is the real deal. I know ND has lots of ‘20 WR’s that are interest but they need to just lock up JD now. He and Henning would be a monster duo, being from IL they will be underranked as well so maybe ND can grab 2 “higher ranked” WR’s to go with them.

Well they were definitely Top 10 in '17. That's all I was talking about. You of all people would have to agree with that after last season's match up.

Top 10 program for one season. I’ve never heard that term but sure you can call them a top 10 team last year. They had a real nice squad but ran into a better Loyola team in the quarters. They’ll be good for the foreseeable future but gonna have to win one if they want to be considered a top 10 program.

3 title games in 8A since 2009 absolutely has them as a top 10 programs. Not 5A or 6A, 8A. Providence was until 2002.

Just noticed this. Better add “not 7a” to your list. Marist hasn’t been in 3 title games since 2009, must be your Marist math. They are an excellent program but they haven’t won the game that matters. Thompson won’t be at Marist next year and I would guess he and Henning are a packaged deal more now than ever.

So where will they be next year?

Saw him vs Niles ND. They bracket covered him and took him out of the game. Made others beat them. Marist won 28-21. Entertaining game.

Not to hijack, but I went to Niles ND. Got to see Gavin (#4) play once this year. The kid can ball.

I ran a jr high program in the same conference when he was in 7th grade and heard about him dragging kids all over the field as a 110 lb lil guy.

It'll be a shame if he doesn't get a chance to go D-I somewhere.

Gavin will be a part of a DI program if he chooses. Michigan has offered a PWO. I would not be surprised if ND does the same, the staff is following him. He also has some FCS and DII offers.

Michigan's PWO offer will be tough for ND to beat. As a PWO, he'd get in-state tuition.

If they had beaten Cary Grove, they'd have beaten Crete Monee for state.
