The kid is from Fresno. That’s like saying a 5* from Alabama is coming to Notre Dame. It just doesn’t end up happening.

But there is a positive trend in circumstance for ND. Early Fresno heartbreakers didn't ever come across as ND RKG's to me. Caleb Kelly did, even though he went to a public school. ND put a good fight until the end but now they are after a Caleb Kelly level kid who also goes to a Catholic school. Will it be enough?

Sure... anything bad can happen and it usually does with Fresno BUT that early Huffman CB will continue to make me feel good until he flips it. The question we have to ask is, since Biggins and Huffman are usually connected at the hip on Cali CB's, has Huffman just not got around to flipping yet? Can't imagine Biggins going rogue on a prospect that Huffman has CB'd to his home market school, UDub.

So as long as Huffman stays ND, we're good. The circumstance however would lead me to guess a Huffman flip is probable.

I think the April 13th visit is everything in this recruitment. That doesn’t mean there aren’t twists and turns that won’t happen again, but I think if ND knocks it out of the park, you’ll here a commitment thing upcoming soon afterwards or a plan for a return trip pop up soon after. If not, it’ll be hard for ND to stay in the race with many schools out west chasing him. I think ND has a chance but it is impossible to know until he visits, a little time passes, and then we get some CB’s or news coming out regarding this guy. I hope Jordan Johnson and AJ Henning get on board soon.

Jordan Johnson has an announcement date of July 28th. So nothing will probably happen until then.

I would really like ND to take 4 WRs even though I know it is unrealistic. Johnson, McMillan, Henning. . . . an John Humphreys would be sick. Even Daniel Jackson would be nice with hose 3 IMO Depending on how transfers go, you never know.

I think it would be awesome if ND got 5 skill position dudes (2 RB, 3 WR). If they have Chris Tyree, Tirek Murphy, Jordan Johnson, AJ Henning, and Jalen McMillan on board by July 28th, aka Jordan Johnson’s announcement date (my crazy dream class), then maybe they’ll look at a BPA for a 6th skill position dude in the fall period. Bringing in 6 would be a lot though for scholarship numbers but ND might have some transfers and medicals and etc.

Texas analyst EJ Holland followed with an ND CB over UW this evening. Biggins is my favorite analyst overall but McMillan isn't an LA/OC/IE kid and since we're talking UW, I'll wait until Huffman chimes in. Even then, they aren't perfect. Don't forget all those ND CB's for Asa...

If he's not an Irish Envy type kid, then he doesn't belong at ND.

I think it is possible but the stars would have to align. Not sure if they will take 5 DL either. They probably take at least 4 I imagine.

EJ Holland was actually in attendance at the 7v7 event and I'm assuming must have actually talked to McMillan.

I'm not even sure if Biggins was in attendance. For all we know, Biggins was only basing his CB off of McMillan's tweeted photo of him with Huard flashing a "W" sign.

Apparently there’s a strong sense going around that Jamir Jones will be a 4 game redshirt in 2019 and come back for 2020. If that’s true, ND is returning 15 scholarship DLineman for 2020 which is a ton. If they were to sign 5 then they’d be at 20 scholarship DLineman which is ridiculous and they’d have to hope for major major attrition. Right now I’d say 4 DLineman max with a possibility of a 5th if it is truly an elite player coming or tons of attrition leaving.

i thought the sense was that he might take a 4 game redshirt and then grad transfer

He could if he doesn't make the 2 deep but I don't think it changes the take above 4 DLineman unless something crazy with transfers happen.

Everyone needs to relax with the CB's. He's got a visit coming up for the Spring game with OV's after that and a commitment date of Dec. 7th. Long way to go. Is it really that surprising that ND doesn't lead for a kid that has never visited? I'm more shocked that people are shocked by this. Every spring is like the first spring around here.

I can't believe what those 7 dooshybagz at that random Husky site did to the IE collective.

UDub fans as a whole are right up there with ND fans for being class acts.

Huffman and UDub is strong mojo. Asa is the only thing stopping me from completely disagreeing with you. Let's hope he made the same mistake twice. It is mathematically possible although this time I'm not arguing with him like Asa but I don't know anything about the offensive side of Washington's O minus the OL.

I said it before and I'll repeat - judging Hardcore Husky message board as a reflection of the entire UW fanbase is like using NDN to judge the entire ND fan base.

Yup, plenty of time. Going up a few posts he said he wouldn't be making a decision until after his official visits.

What is there to disagree with? Huffman's CB probably means UW currently leads, like all CB's do. He's never visited ND so it shouldn't be that surprising. And he's probably got 2 visits (to ND) before he decides. I find it hard to get worked up for a CB 9 months prior to his decision with a ton of visits to go.

If I didn’t know better I would have thought you were new to this board.

They suck

Hahah I meannn in all fairness, aside from Golden, We haven’t had much to brag about in the NFL Wide Receiver department. Will Fuller clealry would be, but poor kid can’t stay healthyyyy.

Floyd - disappointing.
Tj Jones - decent career so far, nothing to speak of though.
Will Fuller - could be a star, if he could stay on the field.
EQ - Has potential in that offense but stats weren’t even nearly as good as Dante Pettis’

Golden Tate - BEAST!
