Good for Tommy. Saw him play twice last year against Mentor. He was good but not dominant. Good luck to him at BC.

I watched him vs Hoban and was less than impressed. I am surprised OSU offered him. He did nothing and got pushed around the game I watched. I wouldn’t want ND to offer based not that game.
I agree. Also Inwould rather have KJ Wallace's teammate Nick Jackson before Tommy

Mentor got to him pretty good as well, last year and again this year. I isolated on him for many plays. They ran right at him...to his defense he got hit by two blockers a bunch.

Wiltfong was on Bucknuts Morning 5 yesterday and he said Eichenberg is having a terrific senior season. He said Bill Greene has been raving about his senior film.
Wiltfong said that Eichenberg was "being discussed" in getting a ratings bump just prior to the pOSU offer. Wiltfong lamented that if the ratings bump occurs, it will now be perceived as an Ohio State bump. Wiltfong thinks it's likely that he gets a bump regardless if he flips or not.

The game I watched vs high level competition he was pushed around like a rag doll. I will freely admit I don’t watch recruiting film or even follow it very closely but I did coach linebackers at the college level for 12 years. I specifically watched him because of the ND connection.

I guess the first couple of games he was at outside LB. They moved him inside. The game against Elder, he looked impressive to this untrained eye.

He was outside when I saw him so I’ll have to try to catch one with the move inside. Best scenario is he is an asskicker, ND offers and he commits. Trust me I was very disappointed when I watched him outside. I really wanted to like his play.

Watched his film form the Mentor game recently and he looked pretty good. Picked up plays well. I think he plays better at Mike but he can blitz well when needed. Definitely do not think he is athletic enough to play drop though. I still feel like he is a take at LB. The depth cannot hurt IMO.
We have our Mike LB for 2019 - I just don't think he is a take because of the limited spots left and that we have taken a Mike 2 years in a row now. Next year we will probably see J Jones and Lamb share time at Mike. If we have a spot available I'd take him, but I don't think that'll be the case. Should be a real strong close to the 2019 class.

I think ND could use one more linebacker. RS SR’s are never a sure thing for a player coming back (graduation, getting a job, trying the NFL), even though I fully expect Bilal to return. On top of that Jonathan Jones, DJ Morgan, and Jordan Genmark-Heath haven’t played a whole lot during their careers and may want to look for greener pastures if they graduate early from ND. Drew White has had a whole host of medical issues from what I’ve heard and you hope he doesn’t have to go the David Adams route. Either way, I think there are 4-5 guys who have some chance of leaving ND or not being on the roster at the end of the season. I think having 1 LBer over is a good way to go, IF of course he’s talented enough. Then you can go 4 deep at each position and continue to develop each position well.
