You forgot to say boom
How do you know, are in the same room?
You forgot to say boom
Staff did kick the tires here. No mutual interest.
I'm not saying he was a top of the board guy, but the staff made contact and there was nothing there.
4th visit and no interest? I'm not buying that.
You don't have to buy anything. HH didn't like Trevor as a prospect for whatever reason. HH met him in person and they moved forward without offering or a hint at an offer down the line.
It's the same guy, EdgeyTime, that you posted from yesterday. He's just a poster, and there has been no confirmation from the staff that this is indeed taking place.
That's all true but your post above didn't name HH, just the staff and it was posted 2 months after HH was back with the Bears. So to get a lil poke in the ribs by #1, regardless of how sophomoric, has to be expected... right?
And remember, #1's got nothing better to do than sit around in his Mom's basement, playing video games, trolling message boards while listening to that damn rap music. These f***'in kids nowdays, I tell ya!

Per a source, Crystal Lake (Ill.) South four-star offensive tackle Trevor Keegan, the nation's No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 89 overall player in the country per 247Sports, is visiting with the Fighting Irish coaching staff on Thursday. N
Notre Dame hasn't offered to this point, but is evaluating him and an offer could come his way if all goes well between both parties...

On BGI his profile comes up as "member", not "staff". That's where my confusion came from. I was just pointing out that up until 75 minutes ago, he was the only person saying this was happening or happened. Kind of bizarre that he said he was on campus both days with no confirmation from anyone else.
The question is, what is his interest if we offer? Are we really on the menu, or just the special of the day that is paper clipped to the top of the menu?
Gotcha.
He's a great guy to follow for in depth Illinois analysis. Problem is as a ND fan, he covers EVERYBODY and all levels of players. One interview will be with Boom 7v7 winning a national tourney and the next is a 6-0 240 lb lineman on why he chose Augustana.
Michigan has a similar independent site called the D Zone and it will do D1 to D3/NAIA kids.
Some good content but you have to filter out all the non ND stuff, and there is a lot.
His parents are Michigan grads or maybe just from Michigan and fans. His admiration of Michigan is out in the open in the info coming out of the Illinois papers/websites. ND may simply be a "check that box" offer for him. If so, he wants it pretty bad cuz he keeps coming back trying to land it.
I told MIA elsewhere, it's frustrating when ND doesn't land the #1 OL from Chicagoland when he's a 4.7* or in this case even offer him but with how they stand with the '19 OL class, you can't let it bother you. ND hasn't offered a few guys in this class who are publicly asking for it. There' gonna be one or two Trevor Keegan's or Emil Ekiyor's in every class when you're O-Line U.
In 2017, there was a comparable kid from Chicago named Kevin Jarvis. Loved that kid, a poor man's Q. ND never moved on him and he ends up starting 10 games for MSU last year as a true freshman. But how upset with the staff can you be for not offering/losing him to MSU when they brought in Hainsey, Lugg, Banks & Gibbons... a Top 3 at worst, maybe #1 OL haul when it's all said and done in 4-5 years?
These are the "problems" you celebrate.
D Zone truly is an independent site (for now) I've followed them or years and you're right, they are much like EDGYTIM in that you have to sift through the JUCO/NAIA/DIII/DII/FCS/MAC intel to get to the ND level recruits. I actually muted them a few weeks ago because I've already turned over every stone in MI through '20 and follow the recruits I see as possibilities. I'll rely on Trieu and Helmholdt to keep me up to date on anything I'm not covering until the fall then I'll unmute them for game reports. lol
Maybe no offer because of academics?
That's not the reason.
Yeah in fairness the guy does a nice service for i presume very little/anything in return. I do like to see the updates on the kids in my area though even if they aren't headed to big time programs.
That's not the reason.
That's not the reason.
OK I'll ask... What's the reason?
Yes, please enlighten.
There is not a lot in that thread. Staff just isn't as high on him as they are others. Olmstead was the example used. Sounds like is it goes back to fit.
Hiestand and now Quinn taking a pass?
