Jr Stats for the State Champs in the 5th highest of 10 Texas divisions.

14 g ..... 292 car ..... 2045 yds ..... 7.0 ypc ..... 29 TD's

Plays in the historic East Texas conference with Henderson, Kilgore & Palestine (home of Adrian Peterson)

I think has a twin brother, DeWaylon who led the team in receiving with 55 rec ... 950 yds.

I'd say he would fit into a best available when he's 247's #8 RB, good size - 6-0/195, ran for 4500+ on back to back state championship teams (granted it's Class 5 out of 10). Numbers would have been much higher but he sat most second halves like Five Star Phil did. Plays in a very ND friendly offense to boot.

Take him in a heartbeat... especially with the depth chart full of sticky fingers and sticky lovers.

Film don't lie.

Yeah, with McTosh being sent home and Holmes newly in the bad boy category depth looks shaky all of a suddenly.

Thanks NDC, but know I wasn't complaining...especially with all of the threads you do update and provide. I had just never heard of him before and had nothing to go by. Thanks for the updates. This definitely makes sense.

Carthage is a perennial East Texas HS powerhouse. ND has not been very well connected with Texas HS lately, which is disappointing but also indicative of the intense efforts by outside schools (OU, LSU, Bama, OSU, UM) and strong in-state recruiting by UT, TAMU, Baylor, and TCU.
No sure who leads ND efforts in Texas, but seems mostly confined to Dallas and Houston metro areas (which are very lucrative).
Probably better chance winning Powerball than landing this kid.

ND does surprisingly well in Texas. If you go back to Smythe's class there have to be 10 guys who have come through the system. Not bad for a little Catholic school a thousand miles away on the frozen tundra of Michiana.

They probably have a better chance of landing another kid this cycle than we are talking about and next cycle they could have an early commit in Hunter Spears + ND would be hard to beat for Thomas Gordon another TE from Houston. ND will be all over Brian Williams and NaNa Mensah this cycle. Watch out for OL's Branson Bragg and Brannon Brown too. Bragg might be HH's next OC only target.

Hope you're right on future efforts. But in the most recent cycle, ND was not listed as having any recruits from Dallas, Houston, San Antonio; none in the state top 100. Competition is tough here, but just doesn't seem like ND has any presence to be competitive.
Amazing how successful OSU and UM are in the Dallas area.
