Not looking good. ND wants him up next weekend, but he is choosing to visit Clemson instead.

Yep. Should have made him a priority during camp season, actually, they should have been all over him as soon as they nailed down JOK/JGH/MTA.

Flash forward to closing time, she staggers up to you and asks you to lay that line on her again while tying cherry stems with her tongue... You think you're gonna remember being spurned a few hours before?

I know I'd do what's best for me and (forget) my family and make the 4 for 40 commitment. 4x in 40 minutes will set me up for life.

And he's openly said he has no hard feelings and they were honest with him.

He even said he'd still visit if they wanted him too, but he didn't expect that to be the case.

Pretty surprised that we aren't able to get any traction with Palmer.

On DJ Brown, he should've visited, but hindsight is 20/20 and the way this situation has played out, to get us to this point, is pretty damn bizarre.

With everyone sending out late offers to this kid, it's apparent that they are in the same boat at the moment.

Not to be argumentative, but programs send out late offers for a lot of different reasons. It doesn't mean they are all in the same boat as a matter of course.

For example:

1) a kid might make a huge jump after their junior year, and so they get a late "best on the board" offer because they are better than the coaching staff thought.

2) The same kid might get an offer from another program because a similar recruit just de-committed and they have a little space-- if no pressing need.

3) The same kid might have been a back-up plan for a major school who knew they could have him whenever they wanted.

4) A school gets a new coaching staff, and that staff likes him better.

5) A school could have had an unexpected whiff and now desperately need a quality player.

Notre Dame is offering him, because despite getting close to the numbers they wanted with a blue chip guy and two projects, they still feel like they wanted to add another body to the mix to increase the odds of a second "hit."
