Floyd, or a another big time receiver. A top notch RB, maybe one more OL. I was worried about the DBs, but landing Slaughter, Blanton, and McCarthy was huge. What about FB? Is there anything we are missing in this class?

Filer, Sabino, Floyd, Thomas, Trev, and Brown. Baldwin if Brown doesn't commit.

I want Baldwin, but I feel that if he waits until NSD that they're may not be room. I hope I'm wrong.

yeah you are(no offense intended). taking 25 would mean no 5 seniors(possibly 1 im not sure) and I would want to atleast take 2 five years( Crum and Lambert) and possibly 3(vernaginlia). Plus agherehe(spelling) is out of the question, and ive heard rumors that Pachan is headed to Miami. So take those 2 off your list, that is definitly possible

1) Go to receiver = Floyd
2) One more nasty Olineman = Robinson
3) Need a RB in every class = R. Williams
4) Big Time LB = Filer
Extra Credit) Sabino = Looks good right now but i still think the Miami connection is going to be vey difficult to overcome.

Everyone after that i would have to think is gravy with the idea that we need SOME 5th year guys to come back and contribute for the 08 season....

My wish list would be: floyd, baldwin, sabino, filer, and robinson. No brown, arent we recruiting him to be a WR instead of a CB anyway?

My list

19. Trev
20. J. Brown
21. Compton/Williams
22. Floyd
23. Sabino
24. Baldwin

Don't shoot me I have always thought the Filer will go elsewhere. Bad vibes about him. Great play, just think he is dragging his heels to much and the longer it goes the more likelyhood that he hits the skunkbears or bluckeyes.

My five would include yet another d lineman because Fortson is that good. Floyd is by far the # 1 priority. But if we miss Floyd, a Baldwin & Butler combo would suffice!

1) Floyd
2) Filer
3) Fortson
4) Baldwin
5) Thomas / Robinson

Evidently Miami is backing off Sabino, or at least he isn't one of their top priorities at LB.

Apparently Baldwin has said Notre Dame is one of his favorites and i'd much rather have a 6ft 6 wide receiver with 4.4 speed over brown who isnt even 6 ft tall. Along with Filer, Floyd, Robinson, and either an offensive lineman or RB this would be the best class ND has had in a long time

19. Robinson
20. Brown (If ND has told him to go ahead and come up then I'll bet they'll take his commitment is he wants to come)
21. Filer
22. Sabino
23. Floyd
24. Williams
25. Baldwin

If ND can get these guys I bet they'll do it and just limit most of the 5th year guys, and combine that with a smaller class next year.

You may want to start by checking his thread for starters... ;)

Maybe I am missing something? Why is everyone stuck on keeping 5th year guys? If Lambert and Crum have great years then they may go to the NFL. The current younger players may prevent ND from keeping them anyways. I know you need leadersgip but... Not taking recruits based on predicting who will stay for a 5th year is dangerous, especially when the recruits may be Fortson and Baldwin who wait till NSD.

19. Filer
20. Floyd or Baldwin, either one would be great
21. Brown
22. Robinson
23. Sabino
24. Thomas
25. Fortson

-------If you have to live in reality that Crum is not a first rounder top LB draft pick. His ticket in the NFL is most likely on special teams. Lambert would have to have an amazing year to leave and I don't think amazing is going to happen. You're getting to caught up in the recruiting hype. Games are won on the field not by adding a 4* kid who's never played a down of HS Sr. year ball.

Take a look at the last national championship roster, they were fairly young. You put the best players on the field irregardless of age and college playing experience. Experience can be gained, athletic ability cant.
