So why would ND risk losing Porter unless they thought that Lenzy was a definite upgrade AND they thought they had a very very good shot at getting him.

ND didn't have any intention of losing Porter. Someone doesn't have their big boy pants on apparently. The plan was always to take 4-5 WR's. They were only at 3, so they kept recruiting all available options. Sounds like the Porter's got butthurt and are no call no show to the staff. Classy move.

I would totally get it, if we had changed the plan or misled them in any way, but we have a huge need for WR's in this class. That was clear from the very beginning.
