Let's get it out of the way right now: Same HS as Max Redfield.

This kid is a real head scratcher. I have no idea how he's stayed so under recruited. Plays at one of SoCal's premier public programs at Mission Viejo. The other MV CB is 4 star Olijah Griffin.

He had a great Nike Regional in LA:

5-11.5 189lbs

4.63 - 40 ... Have seen 40 times in the low 4.5's from other combines.

4.09 - Shuttle

33.5 - PB

39.5 - Vert

Total = 110.55

Guys on the westcoast like Biggins and Huffman bring him up all the time. His 3 star rating is to me much like the Donte Buton's of the ATL area... not everyone can be a 4 star and each analyst has to push guys in his region when about half of the best DB's in the country live in the LA, ATL and Miami metro areas.

Well the PAC 12 coaches don't seem to be beating a path to his door, only 4 offers (247) from UCON, ISU, SDS, and Div 1aa Cal Davis before ND.

247's #80 Safety

Was he injured last season?

Either that or he had to sit half the season for a transfer. As a freshman and sophomore he was a stud RB/DB at JSerra Catholic of the Trinity League. I used to live in between JSerra and MV and caught both their games. I was here in AZ all of last season so I don't know the specifics of his season other than he only played 6 games. If he was hurt, he appears to have been healthy since the LA Regional which was in mid March.

He did get a Wash St offer yesterday.

Which means Ore St, Colo and Zona will offer next week, Utah, ASU and UCLA will offer the next week, then Oregon and Washington a few days later. SC then offers on NSD if they want him.

That is the proper PAC offering procedure.

Thanks for keeping the recruiting profiles alive Crusader! You're awesome!

I have to spread reps so anyone and everyone who can should rep him for the work he puts in for those of us, like me, who just follow along.

Good guess! Transfer not injury.

The Loy article, Safety Chris Mitchell adds Notre Dame offer, says he lost his junior year due to transfer.

Mitchell is a young man with a ton of talent, but not many eyes have been on him. He missed his junior year due to transferring schools, but will look to impress as a senior. Don't be surprised if his offer list expands a great deal in time.

guy has done a terrible job at quitting making crootin profiles

To address this and the messages I've received:

I was supposed to be on the road this week for a new project but it was put off until later next week. Because of that, I've had nothing to do but watch the grass grow and keep an eye on Irish Invasion coming together. So a few more profiles here and there and maybe my 2019 Big Board over the weekend before I ride off into the sunset.

You're like a moth to a flame.

Sherm beat me to it, but I do like that shuttle time with his size.

Three-Star SoCal DB Planning Visits

The Diablos have one of the state's top secondary's and athlete Chris Mitchell is a big reason for that.

Mitchell is a versatile defensive back who can play corner or safety. He has a safety frame but corner athleticism and really impressed us at the Nike Opening Regional Camp in L.A last March.

At a rock solid 6-0, 190 pounds, Mitchell clocked a 4.63-40, 4.09 shuttle and jumped 39" in the vertical. He's a physical player who is tough against the run and plays with a nice edge to his game.

On the recruiting front, Mitchell said there are five schools he's talking with the most right now.

"The schools recruiting me the hardest are Notre Dame, San Diego State, Connecticut, Iowa State and Washington State," Mitchell said. "I haven't set up any of my visits yet but I would like to visit all five of those schools if I can.

"Notre Dame is one school I know I'll visit and I have a good relationship with coach (Brian) Polian. That was a huge offer for me because it's such a prestigious school with a ton of tradition so I'm very excited to get out there and take a look."

Mitchell has already taken an unofficial visit to SDSU.

"I liked it there a lot," Mitchell said. "Coach (Tony) White is a great guy and I'm looking forward to getting back for an official visit. I got to see them scrimmage and get after it. They have a good program and win consistently over there so I'm very interested.

"Washington State was a big offer for me, it's a Pac-12 program that has been successful and I like that staff a lot. They're recruiting me hard and feel I could fit in well there. Iowa State is showing me non-stop love, UConn too. It's going to be a tough decision for sure.

"The main things I'm looking for are a school that I'm comfortable at, on and off the field, a place with strong academics, a coaching staff that I can bond with and feel supported by and a good community. Location doesn't matter, I'll go anywhere, I'm just looking for the best combination of football, academics and comfort level."

Remember him?

Biggins put in a CB to Boise tonight. Loy had entered a Colo St CB a few weeks ago

Last I heard it was Boise vs. Wazzu.
