folston info is old at least by what i was told...he was either transferring to a florida school or making decision to head to nfl....i posted in a thread somewhere a few weeks back he wasn't coming back...simmons they past on because elko said he felt there were already players similar to his skill set

i guess the staff has always thought very highly of this kid but were ok w/ just cj unless a top tier prospect wanted in.....but w/ folston leaving which was known, then adding chip long and his system....we really are thin besides tony jones jr as a bigger back running between the tackles and also as receiver so this is why his offer came out

Driskell spoke with Jackson and said it appears it's too little too late, and had the ND coaches got involved sooner, they may have had more of a chance. Kelly is supposed to visit Jackson next week, but not sure that happens still with the way Jackson is feeling.

This is too bad. I think he'll be a good college RB. Fortunately for us, we have a good stable in place with Jones and Holmes being freshman as well as McIntosh. A second RB wasn't much of a need. Staff can focus on WR/DB/DL now and I'm more than cool with that. Lots of news coming up.

I suppose the door isn't fully closed on this one as Kelly was going to visit. We'll see if it happens.
