According to the Dan Patrick show, he reached out to ND about a transfer and we said no. I'm fine with that, honestly.

This is the difference than the patch-work roster stealing that Harbaugh does to find starters over the guys he actually recruits from high school.

This anecdote should be used anytime our coaches are recruiting a kid that Michigan is after. "We won't recruit above you, only years behind you. Harbaugh does it every time he can, here are examples X/Y/Z".

Straight talk did anyone see Eason play as a frosh or couple drives this year?

He's basically Wimbush (big arm, doesn't really have the other things you want in a QB right now)... minus the elite athletic ability. He's a statue who isn't accurate with the ball and has a slow release. He has upside, but he'd probably be 4th on the depth chart in 2019 when he'd be eligible.

I agree that he is a statue and that he isn’t very accurate. On the other hand I thought that he read the field much better than Wimbush did this year (though he wasn’t very good at it, just ok). Kind of like Kyle Boller if he was a statue.

Another difference, he was a true freshman, Wimbush was a Junior.

When Eason when down before the ND game I spent some time reviewing Georgia football forums. I was surprised that there was not a lot of melancholy. From the posters, it appeared that most had given up on Eason and really welcomed Fromm. Evidently, they may have been correct.

It will be very interesting to see what Eason might accomplish with the snow dogs. Cheers!

Sure. But in 2019 he’d be (hopefully) stuck between a battle-tested Wimbush/Book and a rising Phil.

Because I really have no clue... what about Avery Davis? Haven't heard much about him but (by the virtue of ratings) thought he could be a #2 at the very least. Full disclosure - I believe Wimbush can lead this team in 2018, have great confidence in Book and have a bit of a "man crush" on PJ and his potential. Any additional insights on Davis would be appreciated greatly. Cheers!

Unless he takes major steps this offseason, I'd look for him to either change positions (not likely), possibly never play a down at ND (I said this about Book), or transfer (more than likely).

I've never read anything on him other than here and it sounds like he has Wimbush syndrome in his accuracy.

Thanks for the update Henges. Too bad, I thought he might have been a real threat on the RPO... seemed like he has the size and speed to get 5-7 YPC consistently. Cheers!
