Yea, I don't know much of a back story here so I can't really handicap what our chances are but who cares. He's a big time player to get on campus for a summer visit.

bluegold says long shot, but continues to say there is some interest in the Irish when asked.

Chacho Ulloa and Javon McKinley have scheduled OV's for the weekend of USC. I'm not going to start the OV lists yet as II is coming up and that should be a big event so I'll leave that as the top of the OP. I will update it after that occurs.

They also said they are now really liking the idea of playing together in college and nd gives them that opportunity

RB prospect Rico Dowdle,

invited to the Irish Invasion in June, and he said that he is already planning to make a trip to South Bend.

"I feel like it might be coming sometime soon," Dowdle said when asked about an offer. "He said that we're going to keep in touch on Twitter and then we'll go from there. I don't know if I'll make it to the [Irish Invasion] but I should be up there a few days before that." - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1767983#sthash.8S6yAJce.dpuf

****Dowdle played in just eight games last season after sitting out the first four games of the season because of a suspension. He still managed to tally 1,238 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, and was named the 2014 Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year. - See more at: https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1767983#sthash.8S6yAJce.dpuf

Summer visit for 2017 RB
Going to go ahead and pencil him in as Irish.

Bishop Gorman (Nev.) and Notre Dame are two programs very familiar with each other. Current Irish offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley and incoming freshman Aliz’e Jones and Nicco Fertitta chose Notre Dame over a host of national offers in recent years.

2017 running back Biaggio Ali-Walsh is another name for Irish fans to keep an eye on as his recruiting process is heating up.

“I got to meet one of the Notre Dame coaches before practice really quick,” Ali-Walsh told Irish Sports Daily. “I will be going to the Irish Invasion camp in June.

“Oklahoma and Nebraska have been following me recently. Georgia actually just contacted me a couple hours ago.

“It feels good and lets me know my hard work has paid off. I don’t know if I will be visiting any other schools besides Notre Dame this summer.”

The reigning high school National Champions have high expectations this fall, and Ali-Walsh certainly believes another big season lies ahead.

“The offseason has been good,” he said. “We just finished up spring ball, but it went really well. I think we have a shot at another good run, but we need to keep working hard. We should have a really good year.”

The Bishop Gorman program also showed they are more than a football program. This spring they hosted Make-A-Wish and Thaddeus Thatcher, a year 7 year old, who wanted to be a Gael for a day.

“The kid was really happy and it was our goal,” stated Ali-Walsh. “It worked.”

Notre Dame is a program that the three-star prospect is extremely familiar with, but it’s not just from his Bishop Gorman teammates. Ali-Walsh has personal connections to Notre Dame and his grandfather, Muhammad Ali, lived close to South Bend at one point.

“Nicco has talked to me about Notre Dame a lot, but my cousin goes to Notre Dame right now,” explained Ali-Walsh. “She has told me about the facility and how fun the games are. She keeps me updated with it all. My grandpa lived in Berrian Springs, which is about 20 minutes from Notre Dame and I actually grew up in Chicago. It is an East Coast school too. I am open to everything.”

Ali-Walsh has grown up with Fertitta and Jones and he believes they are on the verge of big things at Notre Dame.

“I think Nicco and Aliz’e are going to do good things up there,” he said. “Bishop Gorman has really prepared them for the college level. I was with both of them last night and we were talking about it. I think they are ready for the college life. They are really excited to attend Notre Dame and are always in the gym working out.”

The recruiting process is just getting started for the Bishop Gorman star, but he already has a good idea of what he will be looking for in a potential school.

“I like a good football school, but I am looking for a good business program, because that is what I want to major in,” stated Ali-Walsh. “I heard Notre Dame has a really good business too. I am looking for good atmosphere too.”

Can't believe we are even getting a visit. Kid is a stud.

He sure is. WR isn't a need this cycle so not much of a concern but we're going to miss on the best of the Midwest so its very important that this National recruiting payoff.

Callaway is a kid that will fit in nicely with the players and what the program is about. Is it going to be enough to get him from the South? Not sure. He carries himself in almost a Jaylon Smith manner. He knows that he is different has different priorities than most kids his age.

Notre Dame needs to figure out if he is a corner or a receiver. UGA has a nice track record going with big WR's and obviously its the home-state.

All in all, Callaway will definitely like what Notre Dame can offer him. It's a matter of making him like it enough to move 1,000 miles away.
