Maybe for a play or two? He has literally started every game for them until this year. Wentz is looking real bad but no quarterback can have success when under that much pressure. Eagles are on pace to allow 66 sacks this year, that’s the most since the 1-15 2016 Browns. I never said he’s better or worse just that I’m not ready to give up on him even though the season is over. He was an MVP candidate in 2017, Dak has never been anything more than a game manager in his career.
The Eagles are pretty bad. Yea they got a few good players, every team in the NFL does. But they’ve been decimated by injuries.
Wentz is having a bad year no doubt. But yeah he plays for a godawful team. He's playing hero ball now, and there probably isn't any QBs that can really do that with his situation. Idk how the Eagles let it get so bad.
At the end of the day, we've all seen he can be an exceptional QB. He doesn't seem to fall in the Kaepernick sorta gimmicky category or a one hit wonder like Derek Anderson with the Browns. Hes got the tools to do well consistently.
I'm pretty sure the whole situation there is rotten and he's gotten in his own head. Philly is literally the worst place to be considering how that city treats the team when things aren't going great.
I hope he gets it sorted out. Would like to see him do well. Good ambassador for the alma mater and the state. I think the most controversial thing he's ever done is went deer hunting.
