Layne did not get many balls thrown his way as a sophomore, but made the most of the chances he had - scoring on nearly half his receptions. Layne's big-play potential was also evident at the Detroit RCS. He is explosive off the line, has good size for the position and is on the plus side of the athleticism ledger as well

The Irish join the likes of Florida, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State as top contenders to land Layne.

The 247Sports Composite ranks Layne as the nation's No. 14 receiver and No. 5 prospect in Ohio.

Ohio State held their 2013 spring game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

I'd like to see ND fire back with a Shamrock Series game at PBS. Make it easy for all the Cincy Catholic school players/coaches to see ND up close.

EDIT: and make it easy on myself, as well. I can walk across any number of bridges and be at the game in fifteen minutes haha.
