15 yrs ago today a great ND fan left this earth. He was a die hard domer, from the moment he came into the world 22 yrs previous to him leaving it. He recorded EVERY game on VHS from 1986 till the fall of 1998. He was an amazing athelete, and college basketball player, with an amazing 95% free throw percentage and snipers ability from beyond the arch. He had a personnality where whoever he met liked him and rarely forgot him. He was a jokester, a smart ass at times but always willing to help anyone out, putting others before him. He was in love with a wonderful young lady that he planned to ask to marry him, but God called him home before he had the chance. He suffered through pain I never could imagine, having his 6'3" 205 frame wither away to 130 lbs, lossing his entire stomach and esphogus, but NEVER once asked why me or lost his faith. He never showed fear and remained strong for his mother, father, 2 sisters and lil brother who saw his body wither but his presence and heart grow. I will never forget the advice he gave me before the Good Lord called him home, and that advice I keep for myself. My brother Tod (with one D) was an amazing man, and role model for me, I still am pissed God called him home and took him from me but understand He knows best, if Tod wasnt mad, I guess I shouldnt be, but its hard. I just wanted to pour out this emotion now, not to ask for sympathy for me but be a release for me and just remind people to hug the ones you love and tell them, let them know it and let them feel it. You never know when you will lose someone, I was lucky to get to tell Tod how much I love him, but I would give anything to tell him one more time to his face.
